- Etna Urban Winery - Enjoy a traditional Sicilian lunch featuring our grandmother’s recipes, served at a communal table in the winery’s courtyard, or in the tasting room if the weather is unfavorable. The meal includes antipasti (starters), primo (a pasta or rice main course), and secondo (a meat or fish-based main course), paired with a tasting of our red Vigna Grande and three other Etna wines (sparkling, white, and rosé). Many of the dishes are suitable for vegetarian guests.
After the tasting, guests have the opportunity to explore the urban vineyards and the historic family winery dating back to 1790, or simply relax in the gardens. Please arrive 15 minutes before the experience begins for registration and a brief introduction. Lunch is served promptly at 1 pm. If visiting with babies, children, or dogs, please inform us in advance.

The activity is a unique combination of tradition and modernity. Tradition lies in the dining setup, a sharing table that reminds sundays spent at our Nonna’s house as well as traditional recipes. Modernity lies in the culinary style of our Chef Leonardo in re-inventing those recipes, as well as in the tasting of four different fine wines from Mount Etna.
The location is also unique. Lunch will be served in our Sicilian Courtyard (if weather allows), a place from the 18th century full of flowers and succulents

The experience was... - The experience was fantastic, but not even close the way you guys describe this tasting. You need to tell the customers all the details.

Fun and relaxing afternoon activity - Delicious multi course lunch with 4 wine pairings. Plus learned about wine making in and around Etna and took a self guided tour of the vineyard. Easy to uber from central Catania to the vineyard.

Etna Urban Winery - definitely worth a visit - Great experience @ Etna Urban Winery - warm welcome, fantastic quality lunch served & plenty of it, great wine choices and very insightful briefings on both the wines and the fascinating history of the winery. Great views of Mount Etna and topped off with a delightful wander around the vineyard - definitely worth a visit. Thank you all @ Etna Urban Winery

Great food and wine experience! - Angela was our guide for the Sicilian lunch and wine tasting. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a very friendly host. We had a fantastic time and we would recommend this lunch for anyone who wants to get a feel for the culture. We almost booked it again for the next day!

A winery with a difference - We booked the Sicilian Lunch with Wine Tasting, online through their website. When we arrived at the winery we were warmly greeted by our host Angela who took us around the place and explained the history of the winery and every corner we visited in much detail. For lunch, we were served with a mixture of Sicilian plates and these were shared amongst the guests. The courses were tasty and accompanied by a different type of wine, 4 wines in total. Angela came to serve the wine and explain the wine's origin. Following lunch, we were given a map of the estate and were left to walk around at our pleasure and pace along the dedicated footpaths. The staff were all very welcoming and this tour is recommended to get a taste of Sicilian platters, wine and hospitality.

A wonderful day trip with delicious food and wine in a unique setting - I booked the Sicilian lunch with wine tasting as an early birthday present for my husband. This was our third visit to Sicily but our first time visiting Etna Urban Winery. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the wines we tasted were stellar. We loved the humor and energy of Angela, our hostess for the tour and the lunch. She kept everything very mellow and down-to-earth, so it didn't feel formal or stuffy. The setting is beautiful and the proximity to Catania was a plus. If you're visiting Catania and you want a day trip that includes delicious food and wine, this is the one for you.

Sicilian wine fairy tale - We visit this place with friends and it was just so lovely. Eventhough the eastet itself is not typical vineyard - big clasical vineyards as it is quite new i must admit that place with the old house is just magical. Like in fairy tale…lots of flowers and the view on Etna. We were excited about the story of the estate and history itself. The lady who was the guide present everything in details and the highlight of the trip is the house inside…really old and just beautiful! At the end they served us with delicious lunch and good wine. Highly recommend this experience.

A hidden gem - I hesitate to share this review because selfishly I do not want the world to know about this absolute gem. The experience was like something out of a dream from start to finish. We were celebrating a hen's and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. The charm of this beautiful place captures the Sicilian dream but it is the staff that truly make this experience unique. Their passion for the work they do is infectious and we were treated like absolute queens. The wines were exquisite and the food pairings were unlike anything I have ever had before. I left my heart at this place but I will definitely be visiting again. I don't know how people aren't lining up out the door for this experience as it is dirt cheap for what you get and truly the experience of a lifetime! Bravissimo!

Great food and atmosphere with stunning views - We attended the first Sicilian lunch with wine tasting as a family group with two couples and two children. There were also two other couples in the dinner. The atmosphere is very much about creating a homely Sicilian lunch with everyone seated around one table and sharing food from large dishes. The host provided just enough history of the winery and process and could answer any questions from the group. The food was traditional Sicilian but with some surprises, even for the Sicilian with us - the Risotto with Fig Jam topping was outstanding! The selection of wines was good, giving an overview of the wines available around the mountain, culminating in the final wine from Etna Urban Winery, which was excellent. After the lunch, take a walk around the vineyards. There are some spectacular views over to Mount Etna.
