Using a saw, file, hammer, and polishing tools, they will turn raw materials into a stunning piece of jewelry that tells their story. From Fornacette you drive up the mountain in the direction of Polvereto. After about 1.5 km turn left onto the dirt road, in Via Montetermini. After about 300m, after a tight right-hand bend, the parking place is in front of my rose-colored house on the right-hand side. I await my guests there.

Amazing jewelry class in the Tuscan countryside - This was an amazing experience! My partner and I made rings for our vow renewal ceremony, and they came out so beautifully. My daughter also made a ring - she chose a design that was more complex, and Dorthe went the extra mile to help her make it perfect. We felt so welcomed into her home and studio, and we appreciated learning more about things to do in the area. I would highly recommend this experience - it’s a great way to learn about Italy from a local, and to bring home a beautiful piece of jewelry you made yourself.

Our best Tuscany day! - My husband and I highly recommend this experience! Dorthe was an exceptional teacher- she was patient and encouraging as we decided what to make (which took a while!), and she was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We not only created some beautiful pieces of jewelry, but also a memory that we’ll talk about for years to come. The setting is quintessential Tuscan countryside with stunning views. Thank you, Dorthe for your lovely hospitality, for your wonderful area recommendations, for the extra time it took to finish our pieces, and most of all, for the fabulous experience of designing and creating jewelry in your studio!

a perfect afternoon - Wonderful experience! Dorthe is experienced and passionate, capable of transmitting her love for the craft with great generosity. He guided us through all the stages of creating a small silver ring and prepared a great snack with local products for us. All in a simply beautiful location, which makes the experience even more inspiring. Highly recommended for those looking for authenticity, beauty and true dexterity

Great artisan experience in the Tuscan hills - I rent villas in Tuscany n since I am offering Dorthe’s workshop to our guests I have experienced it personally. Dorthe is a good friend and a talented artisan/ artist
Each of her jeweler is a piece of art: I have several of her earrings n necklaces. She makes them in silver n gold n the newest creations are made out of flowers n leaves.
The amazing experience of attending her work shop starts by melting pure silver little pieces n copper n then make a stick, flat it n shape into what you like: a ring, a bracelet or a charm
The nice part of it it is that we start from the very beginning of the process in an cozy n charming farm house, with stunning views. We work, chat n eat a delicious snack with local delicatessens!! Thank you Doerthe for allowing me to experience it. For those who come to Tuscany : don ‘t miss it!!!

Homemade is always the most beautiful! - Actually, I don’t wear jewelry and I’m not really gifted at all when it comes to art and crafts. But you are always supposed to try something new, so I decided to take this course with some friends. It was a wonderful experience all around! The ambience, in a typical Tuscan farmhouse, at the top of a tower room overlooking the fields, surrounded by real, old and professional tools, is simply inspiring. In addition, Dörthe patiently and humorously explains every step in the production of a piece of jewelry and then it really gets down to business: You can tap, saw, cut and polish until a unique, homemade little piece of jewellery is finished, all accompanied by delicious appetizers and good company. I never thought it would be such fun to make and wear something of your own!

Great experience!!! - I had this experience with my mom and sisters and they all loved it.
The place is beautiful and Dorthe is fabulous!
I made a very special ring, my sister a beautiful pendant for a necklace and my mom a wedding ring.

Beautiful experience in a lovely location - In March 2025 with my three daughters I took the jewelry course with the fantastic Dorthe.
It was a wonderful experience that gave us the opportunity to create a jewel. I made a small silver wedding ring that I never take off! I am very happy.

Excellent class, must try!! - This is definitely a must try when in Florence. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Prior to getting there, Dorthe provided clear instructions and helped us organise transportation from the centre. She then carefully explained the whole process whilst giving us full freedom on what we wanted to make. 10/10 experience definitely something you need to do and the views were stunning too!

*****Proceed With Caution***** - Do not follow her instructions otherwise you WILL get lost. We never even made it to the workshop and even handed my phone with her messages to a Taxi driver and a police officer and both stated "we don't know what she's talking about, there's no gravel road here". We put in the GPS coordinates and it showed we were still over an HOUR away. 200 euro for the cab to try and get out there wasted for her to just say "I can do it an hour later", plus the cost of the class that she REFUSES to refund any part of claiming no one else had that problem, but yet there's a review from another person saying they wasted the same amount of time plus bus fares listening to HER instructions and also getting lost. Absolutely horrendous, the worst experience we've had in Italy by far. We knew we should have booked the one for Rome instead. Going to be trying to dispute this through the credit card company because Viator will side with the TOUR OPERATOR, not the customers, fair warning.
