We’ll arrive to collect you from your hotel or cruise terminal, whereupon you’ll meet your driver and commence your journey to Pompeii. Here, you’ll embark on a two-hour guided tour with our knowledgeable tour guide, delving into the mysteries and histories of the two towns caught in a moment in time where the intricacies of Roman life can still be seen today. Following a break for lunch, a further 30-minute drive awaits you as you head towards the Ancient Herculaneum. This sophisticated Roman haven suffered from the same volcanic eruption as Pompeii in 79 AD but remained relatively well-preserved beneath a layer of mud, providing protection from weather elements and illicit treasure hunters. You’ll spend approximately two hours here, guided through the Public Baths, the House of the Deers, the Augustales Temple, the House of Neptun and Anphitrite, and the Marina area - the archaeological discovery site in 1980 where over 250 skeletons were found. You’ll be allocated some leisure time for shopping before returning to our initial meeting point.
