A very impressive museum with a guide Jorge who provided focus and context. - This tour concentrated on the early civilizations of Central Mexico, which we enjoyed, although the Museum covers all of Mexico. We had previously visited the pyramids of Teotihuacan which made the tour's focus particularly enjoyable. Our guide, Jorge, was provided much context on how historic anthropologists work, rather than just pointing out one famous object after another.

Incredible Tour – Chapultepec & Museo Nacional de Antropología with Maite! - This tour was absolutely fantastic, and Maite was a phenomenal guide! Her passion for history and culture truly shines through, and it made the entire experience so engaging. Walking through Chapultepec, she shared just the right amount of historical insight—enough to enrich the visit without feeling overwhelming. Plus, she’s an amazing photographer, which was a huge bonus for a solo traveler like me! The Anthropology Museum was a true highlight. While most tourists seemed to wander aimlessly reading signs, I felt incredibly lucky to have Maite guiding me through the exhibits, bringing to life the complexities of ancient Mesoamerican civilizations. She made everything feel so fascinating and pointed out an interesting fact I never would’ve realized on my own—many of the artifacts are actually replicas, not originals! My only suggestion would be to consider splitting this into two days if you can—it’s a lot to take in and can be pretty exhausting. That said, I’d still 100% recommend this tour and especially Maite. She’s a gem of a guide and made the day truly memorable!

For such a large museum, highly recommend this tour! - Cinthya was a very knowledgeable tour guide. Our time was enough to complete 2-3 rooms (teotihuacan, mexica) of many in the museum. A tour is definitely recommended for non spanish speakers as most placards are in spanish only and the museum is HUGE! Cinthya helped me better understand meso-american history and paint a picture of mexico’s timeline. Much better than me trying to translate every sign by myself

Toured w/ Cinthya - I had the experience of being guided by Cinthya for the Chapultepec Palace and Anthropology Museum. Cinthya was on it even days before my arrival to assure my meeting time still worked. She gave me good instructions on how to locate her and how to make sure we met up on time. As a solo traveler this meant a lot. Cinthya knew so much information about the museum and the palace and all the monuments and stories behind it. She was also very kind and personable. If you’re really looking to get educated on Mexico’s history and the stories behind the art, I recommend Cinthya 1000x!

Rockstar Cinthya!! - Cinthya was such an incredible tour guide for this and was able to break down a lot of the history of the museum and artifacts. She was able to point out a lot of hidden symbolism and messages that most tourists were walking right by. Would definitely go again with her!

Highly recommended - We had an amazing time with Yann! He guided us through Frida Kahlo’s house with such knowledge and warmth that we requested him again for our tour of the Anthropology Museum. Yann is pleasant, kind, and we highly recommend him!

Room for improvement. - Our particular guide had a very soft voice and it was very hard to hear her. Therefore the quality of the information received was diminished. At some point we just kind of gave up trying to hear. Questions asked were often misunderstood So the answers given were not relevant to the questions asked. She did seem knowledgeable and was quite pleasant in her disposition

Overpriced and only so so - We only signed up for this since we didn’t want to do a super early morning tour. Very expensive for two hours from a sweet elderly Mexican woman whose English was mediocre. She gave no overviews, just walked us to selected objects in each room and explained them.
