• Centro Historico - Visit the Zocalo, National Palace, and the Cathedral to explore a historic site where Diego Rivera studied and painted some of his early murals. This location also played a vital role in Frida Kahlo’s life, as it was where she first encountered Diego Rivera while he was working on one of his murals.
• Centro Historico - Consider having lunch at the iconic restaurant, a favorite spot of Frida and Diego. Known for its colonial architecture and traditional Mexican cuisine, it offers a chance to savor some of the artists’ preferred dishes.
• Plaza Tlaxcoaque - Pass by the site of Frida’s bus accident.
• Del Carmen (Coyoacan) - After lunch, proceed to Coyoacán to view the mural honoring Frida Kahlo. This tribute to her legacy is situated in one of the neighborhoods where Frida spent much of her life. It’s an excellent prelude to visiting the Casa Azul and a great spot for photos!
