Great tour experience - Both Lalo’s driver and guide were great, they provided each with gear bags(towel, head light, cell water case). At end of full excursion they also provided us with shower towels, shampoo, conditioner. Even had snack throughout trip and convenient stops along the way.

Unique experience with great guide - Tolatungo was one of the highlights of our trip to CDMX. It's such a unique experience and a part of Mexico people don't really think about when visiting. The main drawback, if coming from CDMX, is the travel time and logistics, but our guide Lalo made it a seamless afterthought. Everything from pickup/drop-off, meals, gear, and timing was thought of. Lalo also brought so much history and color to everything from the food we were eating to the history of our stops, and brought us into these spaces with so much energy and context. Everybody got to just be present, absorb, and enjoy. I could not recommend this experience enough.

for nature lovers - Wowowowow, how spectacular. If you're a nature lover, it's an amazing experience where you really connect with the planet. The caves are otherworldly. It was my turn a day after the rain and they were super full, but it made it cooler.

Sunrise, Aqua Natural, Hot Springs, and Sunsets are perfect combos! - I’m from Chicago. I flew to CMDX for a week. I haven’t visited any waterfall or cenotes nearby the capital of Mexico City! Definitely recommended to get a break from pacing time, keep yourself exploring the nature of Tolantongo! Much needed to swim in the hot waters before you go back to your hometown.

Book this!! - If you’re like my husband and me, debating whether to commit to a full-day excursion when you have limited time in CDMX, BOOK THIS! We finally visited Tolantongo on our third trip to Mexico City, and the moment we arrived we asked each other, “Why did we wait so long to do this?” Lalo was an incredible guide. He was friendly, funny, informative, patient, and great at keeping our group on schedule. The trip is very well organized, with planned stops for food and restrooms. They send a detailed message the day before with packing tips, and they even stop at a store on the way in case you need to pick up anything you forgot. A couple of suggestions: if your phone battery drains quickly, bring a portable charger because you will want to take tons of photos. Also, try to get a good night’s sleep beforehand. The road is pretty bumpy, and even as someone who can usually sleep anywhere, I couldn’t nap on the drive. All in all, I 100% recommend this experience. It was truly a highlight of our trip.

Amazing do it - It was an amazing day. I was a bit cold and raining but still we had a great time. Our guide Tania and driver Nico were fun, thoughtful and friendly. I would book again and ask for them because they were very nice. The pools are nice from hot to warm depending where. The cave is really nice. It was raining and didn’t get the chance to do the ziplining but it was also cold do we were happy to skip that part because you do the zip line while still wet in bathing suits. After the cave, we had lunch and we could have went for another swim in the warm water river but our group had had enough by then and we just decided to get dressed and walk around the river side and then we left. We went at the end of November, I would recommend doing it closer to March or April so the weather is warmer and you don’t get cold when walking around. Overall, an amazing experience and an amazing day. I would do it again.

Amazing Experience - The reviews are pretty on par with the experience we had! I took my adult daughter and the entire day was nothing short of amazing! Damien was our host. He was nice and chill. Everything was organized well, pick up was on time. Communication was very good. You do get a late text the day before but if you read the reviews then you pretty much know what to expect. The van ride was bumpy AF, lol!!! Needs a suspension system in that joker. When you go up the mountains it is very winding so if you suffer from motion sickness, take meds an hour beforehand. Tolatongo was breathtaking!! The cave was like a sauna and the natural pool time was sufficient. Do not wear sunglasses or anything loose becahse you will lose it under the waterfalls! We were finding all kinds of stuff, lol. The current in the river is a bit controlled by the dams but still can be strong. It pused me right into the rocks so be ready to brace yourself for that. Nothing too major but if you even think about using a phone, please keep it in the waterproof pouch, AND around your neck! Somebody on our tour lost an expensive iPhone. If it isnt attached to your body securely, dont do it! The restaurant food.... no thank you. Breakfast was okay but that lunch was not the move. At least not the skewers. My daughter got the enchiladas Verde and I helped her eat that. Can't really go wrong with chicken, cheese and tortillas. I reccomend this tour to anyone who does not have mobility issues. Great place, great host, great time!! We loved it!!
