Great experience! - Maria was very knowledgeable and toured us around the beautiful Museo de Arte Popular, educating us in the different types of textiles in the museum. After that, she took us to a lovely cafe at another museum where she taught me about different embroidery techniques. I was able to create a cute handicraft and learned how to make 6-7 different kinds of embroidery stitches.

An exceptional experience!! Must do in CCMX - Maite, the guide, is exceptional ~ among the reigning Mexican textile experts. She guided us through the very excellent Museum of Popular Art - a MUST SEE - in Mexico City, providing in-depth information about the history and every other aspect of textile mfg. from ancient to contemporary. Maite then took us to the Frank Meyer Museum for two hours of private embroidery instruction in the courtyard. It may be one of the best tours I've been on anywhere in the world. TAKE THIS TOUR!!
