Get your walking shoes ready! - Ana was a fantastic tour guide! As other have recommended - the Museum is a must in Mexico City but go with a guide. There is just too much to see, and the guide provides the background and information needed to appreciate the artifacts.

Very personalized tour of a huge museum - We were so glad to have booked a personal tour guide for this humongous museum that has so much to see and learn from. As we had our 10- and 16-year-old sons with us, our guide was able to develop and interesting and engaging route thru the museum for us. Time flew quickly and we were able to make great use of our 3 hours together with Ana. We greatly appreciated her leaving us with instructions on how we could finish on our own at the museum to end our day at the museum without her. Our kids learned so much from Ana and still comment on the things they learned from her as we saw other historic things around Mexico City the rest of our time there.

Andres is a fantastic and very professional guide. - Andres was everything we were looking for in a guide. He was punctual, asked if we needed breaks or had questions, and kept his energy up at all times. He was a perfect mix of casual but with an academic level of knowledge of Mexican culture and history. It was like spending the afternoon with an engaging professor and by the time we were done our brains were tired in the best possible way.

Wow! What a treat. - 5 star museum with 5 star guide. Ana was great. She guided us through spectacular rooms of prehispanic stone, ceramic, and jade art with an eye on our interests, which she asked about before we started. Her deep knowledge and engaging way of communicating was a treat. Also enhanced by her own maps, timeline, and photos on her phone screen. You will get as much detail as you can absorb, but not more than you can handle. Ana was very good at tolerating interruptions and our many questions. Simply the best.

Don't miss it, Andres is a gem! - We cannot recommend this tour enough! Our guide, Andres, was incredible. The Anthropology Museum has far too much for even the most determined groups to cover in a day (or even a week), but Andres had a clear plan to weave the story of pre-Hispanic Mexico using key pieces from different exhibits. We never felt disoriented and left feeling astronomically more learned than when we arrived. Andres is also a great presenter, setting up themes and lessons that pay off in fun and dramatic ways. While he clearly has a tightly-crafted vision for the tour, he was incredibly knowledgeable and able to adapt to our interests as the tour went on. Not just excitedly engaging in our questions as they came up, but adding them as thematic threads he continued to pull on for the remainder of the tour.
