Fun easy kayak in the... - Fun easy kayak in the river which was somewhat sheltered with fairly calm waters except from the wake of boats going by. Would be fine for beginners. I think it would also be fun with a group of people going together. The lights of the city were pretty to see from that vantage point. Marco our guide was friendly and informative. The location was easy to find with gps but did have to drive by twice to find the correct parking lot where we met. The lot number was in the ticket which I missed the first time. There was plenty of parking available with hourly fee.

Anniversary trip - Fun experience! A bit chaotic at first but once we got the hang of it, it was fun. The instructor was very helpful and stayed by us the whole time we were having trouble. There were big boats driving by which made waves come and felt like we was going to flip over, that was a bit scary but once you get the hang of it you’ll be fine. You will get soaking wet so don’t wear pants like we did lol. Also, keep in mind they changed locations so make sure you go to the right one because they’re both on there! We were late because we went to the old location. Definitely would try again

Rough start - Overall, a unique experience kayaking at night in the Miami River. Be aware that the instructions on Viator were not updated and an old meeting location (122 NW N River Drivee, look for blue sign that says "Kiki Champagne Fisheries") was posted instead of the new meeting spot at Parking Lot 17 under the I95, which caused me and my partner to have to walk around Miami at night trying to find the meeting location after the instructor was unable to direct us on how to walk to the new meeting place. The tour started off on a bad note with the instructor being condescending about how we should have known how to walk towards the new meeting spot. However, after the rough start, the actual kayaking made the experience better. You enjoy nice views of downtown and get some history. We went on a Tuesday night, so there weren't many yachts passing us causing a wake, only about a hand full of yachts. However, I could imagine that the weekend is likely much busier with a lot more wakes, causing you to get pretty wet.

We had an excellent tour... - We had an excellent tour guide who was fun and accommodating but the experience itself fell short of our expectations. This was slightly more physical than expected due to waves from the yachts passing through.

Kayaking is always fun but not the best service - We went to the address provided and when we didn’t see anyone, called to find out they’d changed locations. We walked to the new address, which is a parking lot under the overpass. We met another couple waiting for the tour but the guides didn’t show up until 8:30pm when the tour was supposed to start. By the time they unloaded the kayaks and gear, added the lights, and got everyone oriented, we didn’t get on the water until 9:20pm. The experience improved with kayaking on the River, and we saw iguanas and great blue herons. The River sadly has a lot of trash in it. We wrapped up and were off the water around 10:30pm.

The tour had some pretty... - The tour had some pretty views, however the photos are a bit misleading. The kayaks were regular not clear, water was filthy, stunk, and all the boat traffic made it pretty choppy. Still a cool experience though I guess .

Water and lighting are a bad mix… - It was still thunder storming in downtown Miami and they refused to cancel this event. Kayaking and lightning are a bad mix but they went ahead and deemed it safe. I asked for a refund but of course was denied. Terrible business, stay away!

Misleading Photos, Dirty Water, and a Huge Disappointment - This experience felt extremely misleading and honestly frustrating. Right at the beginning of the tour, the guide himself mentioned that he couldn’t believe the photos and information on the platform are still the old ones, even though the listing is managed by the company itself. Hearing that right away was giving us red flags. If the company manages its own listing and knows the information and photos are outdated, why are they still advertising something that no longer exists? The listing shows vibrant, transparent kayaks glowing with LEDs where you can see the water light up beneath you. That is simply not the case anymore. The kayaks are now regular hard plastic kayaks that are not see through at all. Because of that, the LED lights make almost no sense. The whole point of the experience advertised online is that glowing effect through the transparent kayak, which you absolutely do not get. The description also suggests drinks during the experience. In reality, the “drinks” were basically a bottle of water, Gatorade, or a small juice pack. For something that costs well over $90 per person, that feels almost insulting. On top of that, the route itself was disappointing. Instead of a scenic, clean water experience like the pictures suggest, you are paddling through the dirty Miami River. The water looked murky and parts of the route actually smelled unpleasant. It is the complete opposite of the beautiful experience the listing tries to sell. The guide himself was friendly and did what he could, so this is not about him personally. The problem is the completely misleading advertising. For the price charged, this experience does not come close to what is marketed online. The company seriously needs to update the listing because what is being sold and what you actually get are two very different things. Oh and if you try to get some version of a refund it gets denied.

Some kayaks don’t have working lights - Once we arrived to the tour, the guides struggled to find working LED lights for each kayak. In the end they weren’t able to provide working LED lights for all of the kayaks and still insisted on not giving a refund.
