Best goal in the country - I have been to DomRep 6 times and have done some tours here, but this one was by far the best if you are interested in the true beauty of this country (outside the hotel). Just to have found such a tour where you can see the true beauty of this country away from the tourist areas. Susi our tour guide was just phenomenal. It informs you with so much knowledge about the history, culture and nature of this country. You could not do better

The tour operator showed... - The tour operator showed so much compassion towards my family. We booked for a Saturday and my daughter became extremely sick Friday night, I contacted the company and Silvio was kind enough to reschedule us rather than just cancel. The night before our rescheduled date, my husband and son fell very sick. I reached out again and Silvio was beyond kind. He told me to go cancel from Viator, and to let him know when I did so that he could request a refund for us. This is not the policy of the company, and I was aware of that, and Viator also expressed that when I cancelled. But Silvio approved our refund due to our unfortunate circumstances. Although we did not get to do the excursion, I would recommend the company simply for their integrity and wonderful communication.

Awesome! - Great experience! We got picked up and then drove to Mt. Redondo, which offers a great 360 view around the landscape. You can do ziplining there ($20 for a really small one), ride a bike on a zip line, they have swings and seesaws, and witch's brooms for great picture opportunities. The second stop was a boat ride through the mangroves which was super cool. The last stop was the Salto de Yanigua ranch. They offered really great food, you can go swimming there, meet the donkey and the dogs, go up a tree house at 27m, see the process of cocoa and taste local Nutella. Our tour guide Susie was great and led us through an amazing day. It includes quite some driving, just as heads-up.

Very good value for money - Perfect 3-in-1 formula. The 3 tours of this tour were sold separately by Club Med de Miches at the same individual price as this tour... so, great value for money. Excellent meal and Francophone guide very well.

Take rock shoes as the... - Take rock shoes as the pool at the waterfall has slippery rocks and sharp stones. The trip to the cave was the highlight of the day. It was unfortunate that the bus broke down on the return trip. However, the tour company did a splendid job to get a “rescue bus” to us quickly.

Nice (albeit long) day trip from punta cana - Great way to see the natural beauty of the DR. Stunning mountains and national park well worth it. Friendly and knowledgeable guide.

Poor tender, expectations not met, extremely long bus stays, overpriced, not recommended - The tour is poorly described in the tender, does not meet expectations and is overpriced. The 1. Stop went, after a long bus ride, to a small mountain which was climbed by 2 off-road buses and ended with a panic attack by a traveler who was not attuned to this type of transport (she would not have booked this tour under these conditions). On the mountain a nice view, but nothing more. The main goal seemed to me to be that the photographers could shoot pictures, so that they could sell them at an overpriced price. Afterwards, we took the bus to a ranch far away. There we were given a short guided tour by the owner of the ranch as well as an excursion on the topic of cocoa/chocolate and a delicious lunch. Furthermore, a cooling off at the waterfall could be enjoyed. This part of the trip was really lovely. Then, after another long bus ride, we went to the main destination, the national park. Unfortunately, this was only briefly observed from a distance by a boat trip and visited a cave. Walks through the rainforest as well as getting to know nature were misrepresentations here. The badly aging bus could not be operated as a result of a 2. Panne (1. Battery dead / 2. cooling water hose defective) do not continue. The tour guide was extremely opaque in communication and tried to distract from the situation by talking a lot. In addition to many informative contributions about the country and people, there were unqualified private anecdotes at times coupled with a sense of humor that was only partially received by the group. The tour lasted a total of 13 hours, of which we stayed in the bus for more than half of the trip (not counting the breakdown).

Worst tour we have made - The Dominican Republic is a beautiful place, but I can't recommend this trip to anyone. Of the approximately 13 hours you're on the trip, about 10 hours are spent driving around on the bus, which should be mentioned when booking. The guide (Joel), in addition to the numerous half-truths he spouts, basically talks all day about the importance of tipping. At the last stop at the gas station, he mentions again how important tipping is and that there's an ATM just down the road where you can get money. The tour is a bit pricey, but definitely way too expensive with a guide who constantly gives you the impression that he's trying to rip off "stupid tourists" for their money. And since some people on the German-speaking tour might even understand Spanish, Joel should be more careful about what he says...
