The bus ride there and... - The bus ride there and back is a little long but the train ride is very nice. I would have paid a little more to have comfortable seating. We were tight seating face to face. Overall trip was good.

Unforgettable, majestic, and utterly worth it. - Riding the Bernina Red Train with my friends was an unforgettable experience. The scenery was absolutely spectacular—snowy peaks, turquoise lakes, charming villages, and the incredible Landwasser Viaduct. Every turn brought a new postcard-perfect view. It’s easy to see why this route is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. We couldn’t stop taking photos or just sitting back and soaking it all in through the panoramic windows. Sharing it with friends made it even more special—we were all in awe the entire ride. If you're looking for a breathtaking, relaxing way to see the Swiss Alps, this is it.

Unmissable - The excursion is very beautiful, its landscapes the train journey and all its history. We toured the town of Saint Moritz and its surroundings are fascinating.

The Bernina Red Train... - The Bernina Red Train ride is absolutely stunning—breathtaking views all along the way, from alpine lakes to majestic mountain peaks. Booking through Viator made it easy, and everything was well-organized from start to finish. That said, the trip was a bit hectic. With a packed schedule, there wasn’t much time for personal exploration or breaks beyond the core bus and train experience. It’s definitely a day full of motion, so be prepared for a fast-paced itinerary. A big shoutout to our guide, though—she was incredibly organized and attentive, making sure everyone was on track (literally!) and enjoying the experience. Her efforts really helped keep the energy up and ensured that no one missed the highlights. Overall, if you're looking for a highly structured tour focused on soaking in gorgeous scenery, this one delivers.

The most Scenic Train route - It is mostly a scenic road trip followed by a scenic train ride. So be prepared for day long ride on is and train. The ride is long but absolutely worth it. Kids should not be allowed on this trip because if you have a crying kid on such a long trip everybody will be annoyed.

Very Long Day... - This is a very long excursion, going from bus to train and back to bus. Be prepared, as you are in a vehicle for 10+ hours. We were traveling as a family of four and were not able to sit together on the scenic train ride. Parties of two were not made to sit in a foursome, so parties of four could sit together. Very upsetting, as this was the major part of the experience we could not enjoy together. Views were amazing, though and ample opportunity for pictures.

Where was my spent...extensive bus ride. - I loved the train ride, but miffed at the tourist bus excursion to get there. I found out by going to a Bernina ticket kiosk that the Bernina train ride to St. Moritz only costs $15.26, but the tourist agency bus tour to get there cost $140! Taking a train to Torino to reach Bernina costs $30 RT. If I would have taken the RT train from Milano to Torino & done the COMPLETE Bernina Express it would cost only $60. Only one obstacle...the tourist agencies buy up nearly all the online Bernina Express tickets so it's difficult to buy online. I suggest buying complete Bernina Express tickets at the kiosk & get your fill of riding it instead of ZANI diverting your money to their bus fare! Finishing only half of the Bernina Express by disembarking at St. Moritz didn't include some of the best features of the railroad such as the tall bridge over a canyon!

Questionable tours - I did not take this tour because I was told by the viator chat the meeting place was one place but it wasn't by the time I figured that out I missed the Swiss Alps tour. I was able to go on another trip to Lake Como however, I have never been refunded the difference. I have emailed and chatted several times (the first time the day of the tour) but no one has gotten back to me. They keep saying they are researching it and someone will get back to me but that hasn't happened. I would be very leary of booking with Viator.
