• Castello Sforzesco - During the Renaissance, it served as the residence of Milan’s Duke Ludovico Sforza. Leonardo worked here initially as a military and civil engineer, later becoming an artist. He painted the frescoed ceiling of the “Sala delle Asse,” blending naturalistic depiction with strong symbolism.
• Santa Maria delle Grazie - This church is one of Italy’s most beautiful, exemplifying late Gothic architecture in Milan. Built by the Dominicans between 1463-1482, Leonardo da Vinci painted the renowned mural “The Last Supper” in the monks’ refectory from 1495-1498.
• Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore - This hidden gem is a magnificent Renaissance church, constructed in 1503 based on Giovanni Giacomo Dolcebuono’s design. It houses numerous frescoes and paintings, earning it the nickname “Sistine Chapel of Milan.”
• Imperial Palace Maximian - Behind the Marchesi 1824 pastry shop on Corso Magenta lie the ruins of the Roman Imperial Palace in Milan, where Emperor Maximian resided in 286 A.D.
• Banca d’Italia - Located in the heart of Milan’s “Wall Street,” this beautiful palace was built in 1907, designed by architects Luigi Broggi (1861-1926) and Cesare Nava (1861-1933), inspired by the architecture of the Vittoriano in Rome.
• Pinacoteca Ambrosiana - This gallery features an exhibition of drawings from the Codex Atlanticus, the largest collection of Leonardo’s drawings.
• Via Torino - Known as the “affordable” shopping street.
• Ospedale Maggiore Ca’ Granda Universita Statale - Milan’s first hospital, founded in 1456 by Francesco Sforza, now serves as the main site of the State University.

  With a length of 515 ft (157 meters) and a width of 302 ft (92 m), the Duomo di Milano ranks among the largest Catholic churches globally. The site was previously occupied by the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio. In 838, the Basilica di Santa Tecla was established next to the first church, but both were devastated by a fire in 1075. A few centuries later, the Duomo was constructed on the same site, with its construction beginning in 1386.
