Great spots to stop, nice views and great knowledge from tour guides - Our trip on the Bernina Express followed by a visit to Lake Como was truly unforgettable, an experience I’d recommend to anyone seeking natural beauty, comfort, and a touch of magic.
The Bernina Train itself was a marvel. From the moment we boarded, we were captivated by panoramic windows showcasing the most spectacular views of the Swiss Alps. Snow-capped peaks, turquoise glaciers, and charming alpine villages seemed to glide by like scenes from a dream. The ride was incredibly smooth, and the staff was kind, helpful, and informative without being overbearing. We especially loved the descent into Italy, each turn brought new vistas more beautiful than the last.
After the train, we made our way to Lake Como, which felt like stepping into a postcard. The contrast from alpine scenery to shimmering lake views was stunning. The lakeside towns, like Varenna and Bellagio, were peaceful, romantic, and full of character. We enjoyed slow walks along the water, delicious Italian food, and breathtaking sunset views over the lake. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, perfect for couples or solo travelers alike.
Combining these two destinations made for a perfect balance of adventure and serenity. This journey will stay with us forever, and we can’t wait to return.

Unreal landscape - The landscape was amazing, the lakes and the mountains were unreal. The train was very fun too. And the guide Ornella was very kind and explained all the important facts of each place during the tour, it vas very good.

Good experience - Great for mindless experience in the sense that you only have to worry about bringing food with you. Yo don’t have to worry about transportation and train logistics from Milán. My tour guide was great! Although we didn’t go to Lake Como, the agency did a great job communicating updates and providing alternative options. We headed out from the plaza to Triana to take the Bernina we did a stop to get breakfast and use the restrooms. And we also got the chance to Walt around the train station before getting in to the Bernina, there are lots of cafes and restaurants near and a supermarket in case you need to buy lunch or snacks to go. The views from the Bernina train are breathtaking and worth it but be aware that this tour only takes the train one way and returns in buss from Switzerland. However, be advise and do your own research in reference to St. Moritz. The St. Moritz town was closed in May, if you are looking forward to experiencing the town then May is not the time to go. To me the views from the train were worth the trip anyways. There were less than a handful of stores open. The chocolate shop near the train station is open all year round so you at least can do that. The buss ride was nice too, we had nice views from the countryside. We didn’t make a stop on the way back on the buss, but our tour guide did ask the group if we wanted to stop to use restrooms. Over all was a good experience! Recommended if you don’t feel like planning your own trip.

Switzerland tour - We went to St Moritz and Switzerland with Eleanora by coach and train. We had a brilliant time and found Eleanor to be quite knowledgeable. Would highly recommend…..definitely worth doing!!!

Beautiful scenery - Train ride was amazing. It was worth it. The down fall was the bus ride. 20 minutes in it was good A/C was on and it was comfortable. After that it went down hill. The driver turned the A/C down and then off and myself and others had beads of sweat rolling down our face. We told the tour guide and driver and it was turned into low and it was not enough. Fast forward to the ride back and the A/C didn’t work and the fan was on low and it was a miserable 3 hour ride back to Milan. Another issue was adults not being adults and coming back at the prescribed time.
