Mansion is incredibly preserved - beautiful! I would love to see it at Christmas too.

During our visit, there were several areas of concern: 1. Lack of advance notice regarding construction – The website did not mention that the entire front of the mansion would be covered by scaffolding. This was disappointing to discover upon arrival. 2. Parking difficulties – Parking was quite challenging to locate, which created some unnecessary stress before beginning the tour. 3. Room presentation – Certain rooms identified as bedrooms were staged with dining tables and other furnishings. This did not feel like an accurate or authentic representation of the historic layout. 4. Tour experience – Most importantly, my mother and I were told by a docent that we had only half an hour left to complete our tour because a group of 20 was expected. We were taking our time to appreciate the architecture and decorative details, and it was discouraging to feel rushed—especially as the mansion was not crowded at that time. On a positive note, the docent on the first floor was exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, which we greatly appreciated.
