THIS is the review to take to heart. - Jorge & Carolina need a raise and an award! My flight to Lima was cancelled and that meant my cooking class with Luchitos was likely to also be cancelled too due to my very late arrival. I was crushed. But ultimately, not only I made it, but I made it to the class because Carolina happily kept my spot open when I was JUST able to make it on time for the ceviche prep. And because I missed the pisco sour prep, they made a special one for me!!! Carolina constantly kept in touch with me via WhatsApp for my ETA, and when I finally made it, she made me feel so welcome!!! Even stowed my suitcase. Carolina, I can't thank you enough!!! This moved me to tears. And Jorge, he is my hero. He is patient, friendly, and a happy Peruaño. He's in my heart. He reminds me of our Greek spirit. Luchitos went above and beyond for me. They didn't have to go the extra mile for a nobody like me, they went the extra 10 miles for me. They know that each and every traveler's unique experience is what makes it unforgettable. I would not recommend ANY OTHER cooking class but this one with Luchitos. Salud!

We - Fun and engaging cooking class hosted by Dasha. She joined the birthday celebration for one of her students (Mark) and was gracious with her time. Turn background music down

Foodie and DIY coming together for a merry old time! - Dasha was our instructor!! She was very clear and charismatic, and every single dish turned out delicious. I am so full (and definitely tipsy as I write this). Booking was very smooth (I booked about 3 hours out and had no issues & I was on the roster!), they served us a pisco sour as a warm intro before we started the cooking class, and it was really fun to connect with other travelers in a group as this was my first time traveling solo (26F, Asian).

Avoid this cooking class - They started close to 25 min after we arrived. I was extremely disappointed with the hygiene practices in this cooking class. While we were given plastic gloves at the beginning, participants were instructed to taste food directly from their personal bowls using their gloved fingers, and then use those same gloved fingers to take food from communal bowls being passed around the group as no utensils were provided for serving from the shared dishes despite us asking. We were even encouraged to take food prepared by the chef using our gloved hands all reaching into the same bowl. This created an unsanitary and uncomfortable environment and defeats the purpose of providing gloves in the first place, as it still allows for cross-contamination. The class was supposed to end at 4:30 but didn’t end until close to 5:30
