A ladder will be lowered for easy access to the inviting waist-deep waters. Sol y Luna by SunVenture offers a variety of water toys for guests, and paddleboards are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Crab Island offers a diverse experience with floating food vendors, kayaking, snorkeling, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing on a float.
Additional Information
- Guests are required to check in 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.
- Personal small coolers and bags are permitted but must be stored under your seat. Alcohol is allowed onboard, but please avoid bringing glass containers.
- Floats must be deflated before being brought onboard.
- Smoking is prohibited onboard.
Crab Island is BYOB. Alcohol cannot be purchased from SunVenture or any other third-party vendor there.

After arriving at 8330 Mike Hayes Dr., park and make your way towards the water. Locate the Sol y Luna kiosk next to the Marina Bar and Grill. A crew member will be there to check you in. Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to the cruise start time.

Wonderful time - Captain Morgan and his crew were excellent and the ship was very nicely maintained! This trip was well worth it. Definitely book this experience!

Amazing Experience! - We had a bachelorette party of 5, and everyone had a blast!! The crew was amazing, fun, and so so helpful. The vessel was beautiful and so comfortable. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone!

Captain Morgan and crew is the way to go!! - Captain Morgan and his crew were absolutely wonderful. He was fun and competent without being too much.
If you are hesitant about going to crab Island with your family, do it. The water is around 4 feet deep. Captain Morgan and crew provide floats and paddle boards. They keep an eye on his passengers and assist with getting anything you need from the boat. There are food and non-alcoholic drink options to purchase. There is no alcohol sold on the island.
The boat is gorgeous, spacious and meticulously clean. The music selection played had something for everyone.

Amazing! The boat is modern with bathrooms, toys for kids! We loved the crew and Captain Morgan!! - It was amazing! Captain Morgan is amazing and his deck crew! They’re a blast and we will be coming back next year with our four kids!

5 Star Experience!! You won’t regret it!! - We had an amazing time going to Crab Island. The guys were so attentive and made sure we had an awesome time. The jelly fish, which is out of anyone’s control, made it a little stressful to relax while in the water, but it was fun nonetheless. I would highly recommend going with Sol y Luna on any of their trips they offer and will highly recommend them to all my friends and family. The service was 5 stars!!

Crab Island - Great trip! Group of 4 adults-crew was very attentive. Captain Morgan (yes-his real name) kept us safe. Would highly recommend-especially is staying on the Miramar Beach region.

I should have done more research (my fault). - I should have done more research. The boat is in Miramar Florida. We were staying in Destin. It took 30 minutes by car to get to the boat and then one hour and 15 minutes by boat to get to crab Island. We could have gone 2 miles to Destin harbor and takin 10 minutes to get to crab Island.
The boat is very nice as was the staff . The people on board the boat were nice, but 95% of the women on the boat have thongs on. If we would have had kids with us, I would’ve felt uncomfortable. I have never done a public transportation type boat so this was my fault on not doing the research. Next time we’ll rent our own boat much closer to where we are staying. Seems like this is a party boat. It also has to park a little further out because it is larger so the water seems to be deeper than if you could pull up closer to the sandbar. The day we went out was not great conditions(no one’s fault)It was full of jellyfish and half of the vendors are not serving food anymore or coming out to each boat to serve. That’s part of the season being close to an end. We still had a good time but personally I would do it differently if I went back to crab island.
