Turtle and dolphin safari - AMAZING!!! Swimming with the dolphins was incredible, such a bucket list experience. The turtles are so friendly as well.

DO NOT book a tour with ZRI because wild turtles are fed and touched!! - We booked the 2 hour snorkel safari in Mirissa where we will look for large turtles in the water. We are picked up neatly on time and taken to "Original Mirissa Dive Center". There we get a briefing indicating that we can feed the turtles (seaweed) while snorkeling. I think that is absolutely inappropriate to feed wild animals and immediately report it. We board a motorboat with 7 tourists and go sailing. We'll stay near the coast. In the first place the water is too murky and we don't leave the boat. At spot 2 we go snorkeling but there is hardly anything to see. (a few fish) Coral is not here (anymore). At place 3, really near the beach, the boat is anchored. The employees also go into the water and we see that there is plenty of feeding to the turtles so that plenty of turtles appear The turtles are beautiful, that is not the point. The turtles are also touched and fed by tourists. I'm very angry about this. We paid a lot of money for a tour that I don't think they do well with wildlife. Again you don't feed wild animals and you don't touch them!!!! Advice: do not book a tour with ZRI Adventures and go into the sea yourself with your snorkel. You can see turtles swimming for free without bothering them. I have also indicated to the staff and the manager that I am not happy with the way things are going. The manager said he'd stop feeding animals tomorrow. (Which I very much doubt). Too bad this!!
