Make sure you wear... - Make sure you wear layers, we had fantastic weather but a few days beforehand it had been cold and windy so you need to be prepared. Sturdy shoes and a good head for heights. The walk around the canyons is amazing and the scenery is breathtaking. I've never experienced anything like this before, an absolute must for anyone visiting Malaga, you won't regret it. Our guide, Alfonso, was exceptional, he kept the pace of walking just right and gave us lots of information about the history of the trail, the geology of the canyon formation, and the birds and wildlife that inhabit it. A truly fantastic experience.

Beautiful Scenery and Amazing Guide - Me and my friend did this tour and had an incredible time. Alfonso was a great guide. He knew a lot of history about the area and also entertained us with jokes! The hike itself was very manageable and Alfonso did a good job about making sure we stopped when group members seemed tired. The group was only 8 people, which made for a more personal and enjoyable experience. The food provided was more than enough and very welcome after the long walk. We were also given water for during the hike. Be aware that you will be walking very high up along the side of a cliff. The path is very safe and neither me nor my friend felt in any danger, but I could see the walk being scary for those with a fear of heights. I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking to walk Caminito del Rey.

Our guide was prompt,... - Our guide was prompt, professional, and well-informed about the canyon and its history. He set a pace that everyone could maintain. The walk is mostly level, with stairs in some spots. There are railings and/or steel cables to hang on to if you’re scared like I was, or need some support on stairs or wet surfaces (it was raining). The canyon really is amazing and well worth a visit. There are a variety of surfaces, so wear sturdy shoes.

Always happy - Again and again the tour guide has organized this super and explained a lot of details on the way through the valley. The final picnic was kept simple but very good Selected bread.

Excellent Tour! - This was our second trip with Alfonso and Malaga Activa, having previously walked Torcal de Antequera with him last year and we were not disappointed. As is clear from the description, this is a small group tour and we were picked up at the rendevous point on time and then taken on a great day out. The Caminito del Rey is genuinely spectacular and absolutely worth visiting if you have the opportunity. Yes, there are heights but my partner who is really not good with them really enjoyed the experience. What seems to set Malaga Activa aside is Alfonso's knowledge of the area, its history and obvious love of the nature there. The next time we are in Malaga, we will have no hesitation in walking with Malaga Activa again.

Unique and amazing experience… and great exercise! - If you don’t mind heights or a semi-demanding walk, fantastic! We took the small group tour out of Malaga with our enthusiastic guide Alfonso. We even saw a mother mountain goat with a young one. Every corner presented an amazing view. Just to note: the pickup address on Calle Cerezuelo is not the location of the tour company, just a pickup point near the Novotel.
