grand - very nice to see Malaga it was a hour loop and left you off back at the bus station you could getoff whenever you wanted. we got the ticket that included bus, boat trip and museum's. it was expensive but worth it. the open roof on the bus was great.

Disappointing bus tour - We were looking forward to taking this bus tour to get us around the city so we could see where things were. The bus didn't leave stop number 1 on time - we seemed to be waiting in the hope that there would be other passengers joining the journey. The sales person was quite rude and abrupt, especially when she was refusing to take our cash (without explaining that it was a card only transaction). The driver was pleasant enough when we boarded. There was a lot of traffic in the city on the day that we visited but the buses did wait at the stops for long periods of time. When we were up at the castle there were at least two buses waiting so the long waits at stops meant that there were times when there were gaps because one bus had caught up with another. Quite a few reviews on here are about the service at Malaga port. They are all valid. This was one of the places where we had another long wait. I felt for the passengers trying to board the bus. There was a long, long queue and the bus was already full. Tempers were getting frayed and the sales person on the ground was shrugging her shoulders as if to say 'what do you want me to do about it?'. I've seen some poor set-ups in my time but this was really something else. Surely this location should be another starting point rather than a stop off along the way. Very poor. I've given two stars as the bus took us to the places that we wanted to go. However, there needs to be effective management of this service otherwise people will start going over to the local bus in droves as they seem to be offering a much better service right now.

Poor Service, unclear times and full buses - Not to be. We had high hopes for it. Thoughts this way we see a lot of Málaga without too much searching. Well, the latter was only more. Full buses so you could wait, or look for another stop nearby. There are no times anywhere for the bus to arrive. We couldn't catch one bus! Fortunately, many things were within walking distance or by taxi. The boat ride is not much. We have contacted to ask for a part back as we have not been on 1 bus. But you won't hear back from this. As far as we are concerned not recommended

Please don't get in - Expensive, just stuck in traffic, eternal waiting at the stops when boarding and disembarking, sometimes no more access possible, only rudimentary explanations in case of poor technology. Better to explore the city on foot, faster, costs less and is much nicer. We would have donated the money better.

Don’t waste your money! - AVOID! Don’t use this service. Total waste of money..hardly any historical information most of the time it’s just music playing through the headset. Have complained but they have just palmed it off…typically. Over priced Taxi service…

Don’t waste your money - get a service bus ! - We booked tickets for the Hop-On Hop-Off tour on Saturday, 4th October 2025. We arrived at the bus stop adjacent to Málaga Central Station at approximately 12:30 p.m. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. There was commentary for only the first three stops. After the Port of Málaga, the audio commentary stopped about 12:40 with only music until Castillo de Gibralfaro, where there was a brief section of commentary. There was no commentary at all for notable locations such as Paseo de la Farola or the Plaza de Toros. The driver simply continued the route as if the commentary system had been switched off. The commentary only resumed again at the Basílica de Sta. M. de la Victoria, where we got off the bus for lunch. When we tried to rejoin the tour at stop 12, we found only a circuit diagram—no timetable was available, so we had no idea when the next bus would arrive. Overall, the experience was completely unsatisfactory. We would have been better off taking a regular municipal bus, which would have been cheaper—and just as silent, given the lack of commentary. Everyone in our party agreed it was a complete waste of £168.00, and we are extremely disappointed with the service provided. When I contacted the operators - they washed their hands and more or less said tough luck - no refunds Don’t waste your money !!

Love white noise? - Booked on line with ease the essential bus tour included two bus routes (green doesn’t run Mondays) and a boat tour. Staff boarding were friendly. Sits small and the bus was packed. Sound stopped working half way round on the bus part. Tried three different sits, all white noise. Frustrating. When we finally stopped at the end I mentioned to the staff member at the stop, very dismissive and just asked did I try other sits? Rolled her eyes and said thank you. I’ve sent an email complaining and again very generic response. Lack of customer service and care. The boat tour was just it leaving the port area and turning left then right then back. Not worth the money. Avoid. You’ve been warned.

Not the experience I was sold - Really Awful 2 hours trying to get on a bus or even find a stop that the bus stopped at then we all waited for 45 mins for a bus then we went around once as we knew if we got off you would have to walk back . There is not a lot to see historically the castle is good but you couldn’t get off the bus to walk around or look inside. . There was one stop the bus driver got off the bus for 20 mins talking to colleagues then went into a shopping centre , we sat in 28 degree heat on top of bus , out the front in the bus of a shopping center I would not recommend better off walking you walk anyway Waste of money

SHOCKING SERVICE, schedule cancelled on Thurs 18th Sept with no explanation. There were a lot of angry customers. - We waited for the bus at stop 8 when the bus arrived everyone was put off the bus with no explanation. The second bus arrived and the driver open the door and said that the bus was broken again no explanation to all the hot and angry waiting customers. When we returned to the Tourist Information to see what had happened the girl there explained that the service had been cancelled for the day but she didn’t know why. She was very helpful and very kindly gave us a refund. Poor service from City Sightseeing Malaga.

Simply dreadful. Lost driver? - We caught this bus from our cruise ship and got off at Gibralfaro. So far, so good. However when we boarded another bus from there, to continue our tour, it did not follow the route shown in the leaflet at all. We drove around for hours. I think the driver must have been lost and not known the route. It took an hour longer than it should have. It was boiling hot up on top of the bus. Absolutely awful! Avoid at all costs!
