A good way to get around key parts of Malaga - We purchased the 48 hour ticket, this enabled us a lot more time to visit some of the museums and also the boat tour which were included within the price. The red tour is the primary tour that allows you to visit a number of the main attractions in a short space of time, but we also used the green tour which took us out of the town centre, though we didn’t ’hop off’ on this route, but used it more as a way to see a different area of the town. I think that for the slightly higher price, purchasing the 48 hour ticket is a better option if time allows , as I think it would be more difficult to get the best value in just 24 hours.

Easy with a family of 4 to see the sights - We loved it! It was a bit hard to find a stop to get the bus but once we figured it out it was easy enough. Take the Red line you will see so much, then if you do the other lines but the Red I think was the best.

If you never been on one. - Can be picked up from the train station. Awesome drive up the mountain. Pamphlets info can be obsolete for a couple of items. Need a whole day if you book the second fare that includes some admissions to attractions. Bring a camera!

Pros and cons to this option. - When travelling alone I much prefer to use subways and trams and find my own way around a city especially for sightseeing however on this trip I was with older family members who were keen to book this tour. Having had a very bad experience with the same wider company in Rome last year I was sceptical however I was proved wrong on a number of levels. The buses are frequent and get right into the heart of the city as well as the outskirts including the very top of Malaga in order to see the stunning view. If you are unsure about your own ability to navigate the city then I would certainly recommend this tour in Malaga using this company as the tour itself was of a very good standard. The driver was literally the rudest I have ever encountered in many years, shouting and getting angry with tourists. As is always the case with these tours the headphones are the cheapest quality possible and the seats are rock hard with limited legroom however if travelling with family this is not a bad way to get around and I would do it again under the same circumstances despite the inflated price tag for what is in essence a cheap bus being driven around the city.

Poor customer service - We have done the city sightseeing tours in many countries and have always found the staff really friendly and helpful and the audio clear and interesting. Not here! The only person who was mildly nice was the woman we bought the ticket from at the newsagents. But she didn't give us very clear info. When we arrived at stop 1, there were several agents there from the company. We were initially ignored and she refused to speak to us until she had scanned our tickets. She then gave us a lecture about why it wasn't her job to answer questions because she didn't get commission for our tickets, and we should have asked the person who sold them to us. She grudgingly answered a couple of questions, and highlighted 2 stops where the bus now doesn't stop. As the previous reviewer said, the buses are not regular. She wouldn't tell us a time ..just 'it will be here soon". When we tried to get on to the boat trip, we were brusquely sent to a scanning desk we didn't see and a member of staff came over and asked what was the problem?! I don't even get why. Overall, it was disappointing, the audio was hard to hear and they played terrible music in between very short audio descriptions. I still have no idea how to use the green line to the botanic gardens despite asking 3 times so we've given up. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. use an uber and walk.

Not worth it - The hop on and off bus didn't hit all the major attractions, so we deviated from the pick up and drop offs to see Alcazaba and the Cathedral, but then we couldn't find our way back to the routes. Everything was with a headset and translations, but the driver never called out specific attractions. It would have been better to grab a taxi. Personally, I would never go to Malaga again. It was a filthy city. There were few bathrooms and never any hand soap provided.

Disappointing tour - We were on the 21.07.25 with the Hop on Hop off bus. We wanted to start with the blue route. This did not come, but the red bus without any information that the other route was not driven. The red tour was interesting and informative. The green tour was without information about this district, an easy bus ride. The bus drivers were all very nice. We were very disappointed DA we have used these sightseeing tours in other cities and always loved them. The price is in no case reasonable for the service for 3 adults.

If you like waiting on buses…….. - Do not buy. Recommend you use a local bus or Uber / bolt / taxi to get to any sites you wish to see. The buses are allegedly every 20 minutes. In reality they are around every 40 minutes which is a long time to wait in the heat with kids. The staff aren’t helpful on this either, making promises that don’t materialise, e.g telling us there will be a bus in 10 mins when selling tickets but then we wait another 35 minutes. This happened on several occasions from 11am - 2pm Compared to similar tours in other cities this has little information, some buses have poor / crackly audio. Highly recommend you avoid this altogether.
