Declared an Artistic-Historical Monument of National Interest in 1983. The Birthplace and Museum now occupies the whole of the building. Since 2005, there is also another exhibition room at No. 13 of this same square. During its existence, Picasso´s Birthplace Museum has compiled a collection of works of art featuring over four thousand pieces by over 200 different artists. These include Picasso’s sketchbooks in preparation for ‘Las señoritas de Aviñón’, the only sketchbooks of this kind contained in a Spanish collection, dating from 1907. Its exhibition rooms contain various original objects, family souvenirs, and pieces made by the artist that document the family, social, and cultural ties of Pablo Picasso with Málaga. The birthplace of Pablo Ruiz Picasso also houses a specialist library and offers a continuous program of temporary exhibitions and cultural activities.

The birth home of globally renowned artist Pablo Ruiz Picasso, known as Casa Natal, has held the status of an official heritage site since 1983. Located in the core of Malaga’s historic district, it is bordered by distinct monuments from Malaga’s illustrious history – the Roman Theatre, Gibralfaro Castle offering spectacular vistas of the city, and the Alcazaba. The King and Queen of Spain have officially reopened this site, which serves as a crucial study center for the life of this exceptional artist.

- Free entry every Sunday from 4pm to 8pm.
- Opening times: Daily 09h30-20h00 (including holidays). Special hours on 24th and 31st December 09h30-15h00. Closed: 1 January, 25 December.

Walk back in time. - Educational and wonderful to have that experience too. It was very interesting to learn about Picasso's history. To see a collection of Picasso's first had early drawings.

Tour Well Worth The Time - Great tour to learn about Picasso and how he influenced others and continues to do so. Not crowded and the administrators were very helpful in pointing out the significance of the displays.

Interesting place !!! - In the downtown of Malaga and near of the cathedral we had the opportunity to visited the childhood and Picasso’s parents house. This historic building was buy for the county to celebrated the centennial of Picasso’s anniversary.

I Like it more than the museumv - Almost better than t he e museum. The staff is friendly and the treatment is customer-centric. The museum guard service could take lessons from them

casa Natal Picasso - It is interesting, but we were in short supply as we barely see two spaces of the house , we wanted to have seen more parts of the house because we visited the Picasso Museum just before.

Pleasantly surprised but probably would just pay at the door - Experience is great. I don’t really think you need to book ahead. Takes about an hour to an hour and a half depending on your interest level to go through the house and exhibition.

NOT WORTH IT - WRONG ADVERTISEMENT - DO NOT BUY THIS - YOU STILL HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE AND CAN BUY THE TICKETS AT THE FRONT DESK.
We bought the tickets in advance so that we don‘t have to wait since the the description explicitly states „Skip the line“.
We arrived there and were told by the staff that we have to wait in line like everyone else.
So we had to wait in line for 45 minutes in the rain….
We were totally disappointed by the false claims made in the description.
