• Mollepata - The journey to Humantay Lake begins at 4:00 a.m. with a transport that will take around 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach the town of Mollepata. Here, breakfast will be served before continuing for another hour to Soraypampa, situated at 3850 meters above sea level.
• SORAYPAMPA - From Soraypampa, the hike to Humantay Lake, located at 4200 meters above sea level, will commence. The trek offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and the majestic Salkantay and Humantay mountains (Apus).
• Humantay Lake - The hike to the lake is approximately 1.5 hours long and is of low to moderate difficulty. The breathtaking view makes the effort worthwhile. Alternatively, a horse can be rented for the journey. There will be ample time at the lake for photography. After some leisure time, the descent back to Soraypampa will take about 1.5 hours and is considerably easier than the ascent. The group will then return to Mollepata for lunch and rest before heading back to Cusco, with an expected arrival around 6:00 p.m.
