The Tortuguero Canal is often referred to as the “Amazon of Limón” due to its lush, evergreen vegetation, flora, and fauna. A drive from the pier along Limón’s coastline leads to a dock in Moín, where participants board a pontoon boat. During the journey, they can observe orchids, water lilies, sloths, monkeys, crocodiles, caimans, basilisk lizards, and birds. After the boat tour, guests can enjoy local tropical fruits.
Next, the excursion continues with a drive to Cahuita National Park, where participants will hike with an English-speaking tour guide who will point out wildlife in their natural habitat. There will be time to swim in the ocean or relax in the sun. The tour concludes with a visit to a banana plantation, where the guide will explain the banana production process. This guided tour allows participants to explore local attractions within a limited time and budget!
