- Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve - Established to preserve endangered species, the Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve was founded in 2003 by representatives of the Khural (local Parliament) from the Bayandelger sum in the Tov province. The reserve consists of three distinct areas: a ‘touristic’ zone open to the public, a restricted area with limited access, and a central zone that is completely off-limits.
The reserve boasts a variety of landscapes including towering mountains, vast steppes, flowing rivers and lakes, and wetlands, all of which remain largely untouched by time. It serves as a sanctuary for a host of rare wildlife such as the argali (wild sheep), the Siberian white crane, the white-naped crane, the hooded crane, the cinereous vulture, and the swan goose.
