- Cattedrale di Monreale - Visitors will be dropped off at Piazza Guglielmo II, where they can explore the stunning Monreale Cathedral. This cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is regarded as one of the most significant medieval churches globally. The cathedral’s mosaics are truly unique and exquisite. For a fee, visitors can access various areas of the cathedral, including the terraces. Next to the cathedral is the San Benedetto Monastery. The monastery’s cloister features a Romanesque-style square layout, with over 90 columns adorned with mosaics and Romanesque capitals. At the center of the cloister is a garden with a palm tree-shaped fountain. Nearby, the intriguing diocesan museum is also worth a visit. From Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, one can view the Duomo and admire the renowned marble fountain, Fontana del Tritone. Be sure to visit the Belvedere!
- Cefalù - The journey to explore Cefalù begins at Lungomare Giuseppe Giardina and continues to the start of Via Vittorio Emanuele, where the houses begin. From here, a stroll through the narrow streets, ancient houses, quaint shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors awaits. Midway along Via Vittorio Emanuele is the medieval wash house, accessible via a lava stone staircase. Beyond the wash house, visitors reach Porta Pescara, an opening offering a sea view. Shortly after Porta della Pescara, on the left, is Piazza Marina with the old port’s pier. From the old port, the most captivating part of Cefalù can be seen: houses with balconies directly overlooking the sea. Continuing along the main street, Corso Ruggero, after a few meters, visitors will find themselves in the town hall square, facing the Cathedral of Cefalù. Besides the charming village, Cefalù boasts one of Sicily’s most beautiful beaches, featuring white sand and crystal-clear waters.

Great tour to see UNESCO churches, mosaics from 12th century - We saw two fantastic UNESCO sites on a day trip from Palermo: specifically, the mosaics at the 12th century cathedrals at Monreale and Cefalu, which were crafted collaboratively by Normans, Latins and Muslims. Also, got to explore the gorgeous streets and beaches of Cefalu, with time for a seaside lunch.
Fabrice, our driver, was engaging and spoke fluent English. Terrific tour!

Monreale - Our driver Sergio was very good. Monreale was pretty church with mosaics of the stations of the cross.

Great way to see Monreale and Cefalu - Monreale and Cefalu were great! Cefalu was exceptional with the beach, cathedral, and shopping/dining right by the sea. Mimmo was an excellent driver and very friendly who talked of the area and history along the way. The car was a Maserati which was clean and comfortable.

A superb day, from start to finish. - An excellent professional service from beginning to end. Francesco is a knowledgeable polite and helpful individual, his approach is completely flexible and relaxing, nothing is too much trouble. The car was immaculate, the journeys relaxing, the guide perfect.

Good way to see Monreale and Cefalu! - Because I have some mobility issues, this was a great way to see Monreale. Plus driving in Palermo is sort of a nightmare, so to be able to glide through the chaos in an air conditioned Mercedes with a good drive: Perfetto! We had never been to the seaside of Cefalu was lovely. We had a walk along the Lungo Mare as well as gelato (and banana split!) in the Piazza di Duomo. Our driver was charming and helpful. Expensive but worth it for us!

The most beautiful day! - Absolutely the most beautiful day from Palermo. Monreale and Cefalu are spectacular and not to be missed. Salvo, our driver, was fantastic. He was punctual, courteous and spoke good English. The cathedral in Monreale is breathtaking and Cefalu as picturesque in person as in the photos. We highly recommend this outing!

Sadly the Cathedral in... - Sadly the Cathedral in Cefalu was closed when we arrived. Apparently it is closed each day from 1-3 and Viator and the driver should know this fact. We climb all the way to the cathedral only to be turned away as it was closed for daily siesta. Our driver, Michele, was not informative of the sites along the way as his English was not very good by his own admission. We ended the tour early because of it and so did not get our monies worth. Liked what we saw, but was not happy that Viator is misinformed about the temples and times they operate especially given the price we paid for the tour.

No call, No Show. - The operator failed to show up for our scheduled pickup. I tried to contact operator 3 times with no success. I called customer service with Viator who tried to contact operator. After waiting a full hour after the scheduled pickup, we gave up and asked Viator for a refund which we received 3 days later. Ruined our scheduled day in Sicily.
