Abbaye du Mont-Saint-Michel - Mont St-Michel was a significant cultural and pilgrimage site during the Middle Ages. According to legend, the abbey was founded in the 8th century when the bishop of Avranches was visited by the Archangel Michael in a dream.

Fortifications du Mont-Saint-Michel - Today, the abbey is still adorned with a gilded copper statue of Michael defeating a dragon, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

Baie du Mont St Michel - After your tour, take a leisurely walk around the village. Stroll along the abbey’s ramparts, shop on the main street, visit the island’s museums, and experience Mont St-Michel’s most famous and captivating feature: the dramatic tides. At low tide, the island is encircled by vast stretches of sand, but just six hours later, high tide brings the sea water rushing in to envelop the island.

Chateau d’Angers - Begin with a quick photo opportunity at Château d’Angers, which overlooks the River Maine. Established in the 9th century by the Count of Anjou and expanded in the 13th century, it houses the Apocalypse Tapestry, the largest tapestry in the world.

Chateau de Langeais - Next, visit Château de Langeais, also founded by the Count of Anjou. This castle was attacked by the Count of Blois and later destroyed during the Hundred Years’ War. In the 15th century, King Louis XI reconstructed it into a magnificent château, now regarded as one of the finest examples of late medieval architecture.

Chateau de Chenonceau - Spanning the River Cher, it served as an escape route during World War II from the Nazi-occupied zone on one side of the river to the ‘free’ zone on the opposite bank.
