From St. Helena, take Route 606 to Monteverde. After 3.5 km, keep left at the junction and continue 10 km more until the access to the Cloud Forest. Follow the signs, you will find parking and the entrance to the park. Check the route in GPS, apps like waze, Google maps

Absolutely the best guide in Monteverde - We met Marvin for a night tour in the Wildlife Refuge Monteverde and he managed to spot so much wildlife in the dark - we were flabbergasted! The way he explained facts about animals, insects and plants was perfect, he's so engaging and clearly very knowledgeable. We ended up signing up for a tour of the Curi Cancha reserve with him early in the morning the next day because of how much we enjoyed the experience. Honestly cannot recommend him enough, especially after experiencing far less satisfying tours in other areas of Costa Rica - it really made us appreciate his knowledge even more!

The best tour guide in Costa Rica - We booked a night tour which we happened to have Marvin as our guide. Could not have been happier! He knows everything there is to know about the animals and plants of the area, specialising in snakes and frogs, which was really useful as we saw lots of both snakes (pit vipers) and frogs! Marvin also showed us a range of birds and giant stick insects and scorpions. His knowledge about all this was great, but his enthusiasm to share this knowledge was perfect. We had such a good time with Marvin that we booked another tour with him for the next morning at curi cancha! Thanks so much, chico

Great guide in Monteverde! - We did the night tour with Marvin in Monteverde. Two hours of discovery: insects, reptiles and even birds. We observed stick bug, an obelisk snake and a toucan among many other animals. We were so happy with Marvin that two days later we called him for a birdwatching tour. Just arrive we were lucky enough to see a quetzal!! Marvin explains very well, knows all the fauna and flora of Monteverde and has a super equipment to make your tour the best experience! Do not hesitate, call him!

Best Night Tour in Monteverde! - I had a great experience with Marvin.. He speaks both English and Spanish and gives such great information and facts along the tour. We found so many beautiful species on our night tour. We felt safe and the tour was fun! I would highly recommend we took our 5 year old daughter who really enjoyed it as well.

Marvin Gave Top Notch Service/Knowledge - Marvin met us at our hotel and guided us to the monte Verde Cloud Forest tour entrance. Once we got there he assisted us getting tickets, catching the short van trip and met us again at the tour. While there he shared all his in depth knowledge of the forest. What was impressive was how he worked with other guides to create the best experience for us (locating monkeys, humming bird nests and even a green vine snake). I would highly recommend asking for Marvin!!!

DISCOVERING MONTEVERDE - Just spectacular. We did three routes with him. Reservation of Curi Cacha, Monteverde and the night. Passionate about his job. Professional and polite always attentive to your needs. He scrambled to find the Quetzal so he could photograph it. He has knowledge of the terrain and fauna. He came to eat with us and we got to know him and the culture of the country a little better. Definitely the winning choice. Value for money of 10.

More than we wished for - Marvin was such a great tour guide. He was already waiting for us when we walked towards the entrance of the park, after saying hello he got us the tickets in a blink of an eye and we went inside. Once inside he started bombarding us with a lot of awesome details about the park and all the animals inside and answered all our questions on an expert level with humor. Even though me and my girlfriend are total rookies when it comes to experiences like this you could sense Marvin was a real veteran since he was letting other tour guides and tourists know of sightings, this is definitely the professional you want and certainly worth the extra price compared to other guides for this specific park. In total we saw 3 quetzals and an ungodly amount of (rare) birds and other animals. All in all we were extremely happy and would recommend Marvin his tour to everybody! Thanks again Marvin, love Divya and Max :)

Spectacular experience with Marvin - Marvin is definitely spectacular! His skills, knowledge and affection left us with the best of the flavors of Monte Verde. Initially we did the morning tour with him, and we liked it so much that we hired the night tour for the same night. We saw many kinds of animals and insects and we were enriched with their knowledge, kindness and respect for the environment! PURA VIDA MARLIN! We will send you all the friends without hesitation!
