Art and hummingbirds in the mountains. - I usually only review great or awful experiences, but this was really fantastic if you enjoy flowers, art and getting away from the usual tourist scene. The shuttle from the port was clean and on time. There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids. Everyone really had a good time. The paths through the garden are homemade, and steps non standard, so not for those with decreased mobility, but relatively easily negotiated. The lunch they prepared was very good, all homemade. Their son took us around and was very knowledgeable about all the different plants. The art gallery of their work was interesting and different. They even had the kids making pictures using flowers for color drawing. Very creative. I would definitely go back. A worthwhile excursion if you get to Montego Bay.

Best detour from our weeklong cruise! - Highly recommend this intimate and meaningful experience of culture and beauty in the hills of Montego Bay. We were a group of five including two kids ages 8 and 12 and a 75-year-old. We were made to feel very comfortable and at home. We were fed a delicious meal of fresh fish and given a beautiful tour of the gardens and the birds. My kids had a great time and we left feeling like we had a very positive experience that we will never forget. I’m so happy we took the time to get off of the tourist track and experience something real of this beautiful island. Communication with the owner and with the driver was easy and he met us right outside of our cruise ship and took us in a van up to the gardens.

A substitute of heaven on earth. - This is absolutely a small substitute of heaven. Beautiful nature spot on private property, showing how a human being can live in peace with other species. The host family made my family feel special and they have that magic touch probably with any other families. Both adults and children will feel there happy they could have opportunity to see it.

Absolutely Amazing! - Such a beautiful garden with the most spectacular view! Loved the walk through the garden and learning about the different plants/flowers and how art is incorporated into the garden. The gallery is filled with beautiful artwork from the family. Amazing way to start your day! Highly recommend and has been one of the best (if not, the best) part of my trip here to Jamaica ♡

Well Worth a Visit - A really nice experience. We were treated to a tour or the garden by the owner/creator. Excellently explained, very knowledgeable and extremely interesting. The plants were amazing... as was the history of the home. The gallery artworks were very interesting - a great variety of colour and subject matter - at very affordable prices. Many thanks to the lovely hosts. We recommend a visit. Julian and Melinda Huddersfield, England

A jewel of a tour - The Ras Natango Gallery and Gardens was one of the top travel excursions my husband and I have experienced in decades! The Natango family are amazing hosts and tour guides to their unique property, which is also their home. We saw a myriad of native flowers and herbs on a personal tour, The art gallery was colorful, vibrant, and expressive of Jamaican spirit. And best of all was hearing the story behind the creation of this special place! Oh, and second best was feeding hummingbirds in our hands The drive up the mountain is not for the feint of heart, but was well worth it!

Exceptional. Beautiful. Special. - This is a very special place owned by some exceptional people. Don't miss the opportunity to hear, first hand how their story evolved and the gardens and art gallery were born. If you are a fan of art and or nature don't hesitate to visit. As a bonus, the driver they sent to collect us was so good we have continued to use him for the remainder of our holiday.

Beautiful Peaceful Oasis of Calm - Our group of 6 turned up unannounced. The welcome was warm, we learned of the building of the house and making of the fabulous stunning garden from Ras, and his wife Tamika. Their son, Ayale, gave us a comprehensive guide round the substantial garden, explaining the plants and the different areas. The art work of all three family members was on display in the gallery, this is one talented family! We had the opportunity to ‘feed’ the humming birds, what an experience. Our transport back to the noise and busyness of Montego Bay was delayed, but what a heavenly place to wait, we all left rejuvenated and totally laid back, a ‘must do’ when visiting Jamaica, We are so pleased we did! The lemongrass tea and snacks were so welcome, and unexpected as we hadn’t booked to eat! Our thanks to the Williams family for a highlight of our Jamaican adventure

A walk in nature - The hosts (Ras and Tamika) were very welcoming and friendly. To learn about the history of the house was fascinating, as told by Ras. I was given a water feeder to hold so that the hummingbirds would come to get water, and it was fascinating to have a hummingbird sit on your finger, such lovely colours. I came with my sister and we were shown around the gardens by their son, Ayale, who was very knowledgeable. My sister has had her hips replaced so found the walk a little challenging, but Ayale was on hand to help her with the steps and where to have a sit down. There were many beautiful flowers and plenty of other areas of interest to see, as well as the peace and quiet. It was a truly lovely visit and we will visit whenever we are in Jamaica again. It was also great to see their talents on show in the gallery.

Sisters enjoying the real Jamaica - Sorry I am so late in writing this review. We had what only can be described as a magical moment visiting here. The family are friendly, super creative and talented. It was an honour to be allowed to see their amazing garden and to touch and feel the beautiful plants. To stand at the top of the garden and view Montego bay was breath taking and a memory, my sister and i will treasure forever. We arranged a transfer direct with Tamika and everything was seamless, we loved travelling to their property, it took us away from the tourist location and felt we got to see some real Jamaica. We learnt so much about the plants and the families beginnings setting up this wonderful home. Ayao was truly knowledgeable and made us feel so welcome, we got so much from him and are very grateful to have met him. The icing on the cake - feeding the hummingbirds. No words, just magical. I would highly recommend this trip and will be taking my husband the next time i am in Jamaica.
