Relax and take in the scenery. You’ll be surrounded by beautiful trees and exquisite wildlife. No worries though, none of the wildlife in this area is dangerous. The sound of the river flowing along with the woodpeckers pecking away and the various exotic birds you’ll come across, will make this experience unforgettable. Take your camera out. You’ll enjoy looking through these photos later. Whether you’re looking for Romance, or making this day a family outing, this is sure to be a day you’ll remember. The rafts may look unstable, but you’ll be surprised at how well balanced they are. Getting on and off will be a breeze. The seats are well padded so this will be a comfortable journey. Even if you cant swim, you can still come and enjoy the ride. Life vests are provided just in case, but chances are you wont need them. The depth of the river is only 4 feet most of the year anyway so you can relax. Only in rainy season does it get up to around 12 feet.

Book the raft excursion and enjoy yourself! - This was such a great excursion, from start to finish. Pick up from the resort was flawless. Our driver Pablo was friendly and on time. Mario, our raft guy was funny and relatable. Once we were done on the raft we got driven to a souvenir shop and the staff there were nice as well. Overall a great excursion, 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Bamboo rafting - Our driver Alex was awesome. He took us to our location, helped us resolve an issue with not getting all of the pictures we paid for and brought us back to the hotel safely.

Bamboo Rafta Excursion - Keemo was a great driver! Maro and C4 were great on the bamboo rafts!! Keemo also did a great job with our tour around the island.

Great tour and service - This tour was really amazing and our guy Cooper was the best. The rafting trip was so much fun and we were able to eat along the way during the ride. The hip strip is an amazing place for shopping and sites.

If you have data on your phone, Google prices before you buy anything!!!! - We booked this excursion the night before as we were looking for something to do that would be shaded when my husband got a bad sunburn.
Pickup for excursions is always a bit wonky. Our driver wandered around the lobby but didn't actually approach us or state outloud who he was looking for or what excursion he was picking up for, like the tour operators typically do. The drive to the river was about 20 minutes for us.
We were captain Max's first raft of the day, he was excellent. He told us all about the plants and wildlife and was very entertaining. He did my limestone massage that was excellent, even adjusted his technique when he saw how ticklish I was. Highly recommend his raft! I would recommend you bring cash for the bars and for tipping, we didn't bring enough, but our driver on the trip back to the resort was kind enough to both take us to an ATM and agree to take cash back to the rafting location for Max.
The hip strip shopping tour was interesting. Our return driver took us to a store he knew 'that would give us good discounts'. The store offered us free drinks, good ac, and said that everything was half off. Everything except for the alcohol apparently, because we bought 2 bottles of Sangsters rum cream there for $88/bottle. I can't say we were taken advantage of because we made the choice to buy it, but those same bottles are available at the Green Apple Store at Whitter Village across from our resort for $28/bottle with delivery to your resort. I do feel like the driver was incentivized to take us there, and that they intentionally mark up their prices 4x because we are tourists and can't price compare. Ultimately this is a 'live and learn' moment for us. They don't give you an itemized receipt either so there isn't much you can do.

Overall I would recommend the rafting, but I would say book your own taxi there and back to avoid the shopping situation.

Where is the River - We went the rafting on my birthday and it wasn’t what I thought it would be. The guide Andre was nice, but the tour was short. We were literally on the raft for 30 min and we were done. We started off great by us getting a drink and him being informative we did the limestone on our legs and and shortly after we parked on the side and he washed it off and we were off the raft walking thru the jungles looking at plants that we didn’t care to see. If the tide is wah affected us getting a full experience you should warn your consumers before having book something that is not what they will get in the end. We paid over $200 and nothing that was advertised we really received. The margaritaville is closed and hipstrip we did not get to experience. The best part of our tour was Keemo! He was fun, kind , informative and tried making up for the sucky tour by taking us to a famous jerk spot which we enjoyed . Hire more Keemo he’s good for business.

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience – Requesting Full Refund - My family and I had a truly horrible experience with this excursion, and we feel completely scammed. Our driver arrived over an hour late to pick us up, which was already concerning. Upon arrival, we were immediately pressured to pay for services that were advertised as complimentary—including water, a full body massage, and a visit to Margaritaville.
We did not receive a full body massage as promised. Instead, they told us only a partial massage (from the knees down) was included, and that we’d have to pay extra for the rest. We also never made it to Margaritaville as the excursion description had stated. On top of that, I was charged for water, which was not only supposed to be free but was also extremely overpriced.
To make matters worse, our driver told us that the organizers had instructed him to take us somewhere different—somewhere worse—than the location we had clearly selected when booking. This is absolutely unacceptable.
I paid $260 for this experience and have been trying to resolve the issue since July 20th (the excursion took place on the 18th). I was told to wait 24 hours, which I did, only to be offered a partial refund of $40. That is not acceptable given the number of issues we faced and the fact that the experience did not match what was advertised in any way.
I am requesting a full refund of the $260. Please address this promptly and professionally.
