• Rose Hall Great House - The Rose Hall Great House is an early 18th-century plantation residence situated on a high elevation amidst thousands of acres in Rose Hall, Montego Bay. This house was once owned by the infamous Annie Palmer, known as one of the most notorious plantation owners in Jamaica, who owned hundreds of slaves. After her tragic death in 1831, the house became haunted. Even during the day, it presents a chilling sight. Although there is no stop at the Rose Hall Great House on the way to Negril, the tour guide will share its history and slow down for photo opportunities.
• Greenwood Great House - Constructed in the early 18th century, the Greenwood Great House is another plantation home built at a high elevation, a common strategy during the plantation era for overseeing the plantation and ensuring security. Unlike the Rose Hall Great House, Greenwood offers a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Its history and architecture are truly captivating. As you pass by, the tour guide will slow down for you to take photos.
• Discovery Bay - Discovery Bay is home to Columbus Park. Originally named Puerto Seco or “Dry Harbour” by Christopher Columbus in 1494 due to the lack of fresh water, the area was later renamed Discovery Bay in 1947. This is where Columbus and his men first landed on the island on May 4, 1494. Although the park is temporarily closed for renovations, there will be a brief stop to capture photos and appreciate the rich history of this historic town.
• Runaway Bay - This tour takes you through Runaway Bay, one of the most picturesque towns in Jamaica. Nestled between the stunning coastline and lush green mountains, its name is debated. Some believe it was named after the last Spanish soldiers who fled from British troops in 1655, while others think it was an escape route for slaves heading to Cuba. Be ready with your cameras as you explore this scenic area.
• Bob Marley Museum - Bob Marley, born on February 6, 1945, and passed away on May 11, 1981, is celebrated in Nine Mile, a small village 3000ft up in the hills of St. Ann, where he was born and is now laid to rest. The hour-and-a-half tour of this settlement is captivating. A Rastafarian guide will lead you around, answering questions as you enjoy live reggae music. You can see his first home, childhood bed, and utensils. The tour includes his birth and resting place, and the spot where he found inspiration for his songs. Visit the nearby Ethiopian church where he is laid to rest with his guitar. Many visitors feel Bob’s presence here. After the Nine Mile tour, you will visit Bob Marley’s house in Kingston.
• Bob Marley Museum - Bob’s Victorian-style home, now the Bob Marley Museum, is filled with cherished memories and mementos that celebrate the life and achievements of this legendary Jamaican musician. The museum offers a guided tour through the main house, exhibition hall, theatre, gift shops, and the One Love Café. The original rooms remain as they were during Bob’s time to maintain authenticity. Displays include a life-size hologram of Bob from the 1978 One Love Peace Concert, his Grammy Lifetime Achievement award, personal recording studio, bedroom, favorite clothing, numerous gold and platinum records, and costumes of his backup singers, the I-Threes. Live performances of Bob are featured on each guided tour.
