A 45-minute drive from the town of Falmouth leads to the Greenwood Great House, perched on a hillside with views of the Greenwood community and the Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival, a tour guide will greet visitors at the property’s entrance and guide them to the house’s front door, where a portable fire hydrant equipped with leather buckets and a hose is available for fire emergencies.
Inside the house, visitors will be captivated by an extensive collection of antique furniture, a rare assortment of books—some dating back to the 17th century—safely stored in glass-fronted cabinets, a variety of antique pianos and musical boxes, many still operational, period portraits, delicate China ware, 17th-century world maps, and much more. As they explore the rooms, they will learn about the house’s history from its origins to the present day.
