A 30-45 minute drive from Montego Bay leads to the Greenwood Great House, perched on a hillside with views of the Greenwood community and the Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival, a tour guide will greet visitors at the property’s entrance and guide them to the house’s front door, where a fire wagon equipped with leather buckets and a hose is stationed for emergencies.
Inside, visitors will be captivated by an extensive collection of antique furniture, a rare assortment of books—some dating back to the 17th century—safely stored in glass-fronted cabinets, and a variety of antique pianos and musical boxes, many of which are still operational. The house also features period portraits, delicate China ware, 17th-century world maps, and much more, all while the guide shares the house’s history from its origins to the present day.
