George was a very great... - George was a very great tour guide ! He was amazing . flFrom taking us to shop and try rum to having us taste authentic jamaican food . 10/10 would recommend !

Fantastic food, great company and enlightened conversation! - The tour consisted of my cousin and I. George picked us up, at the time he communicated to me via text. He started by asking us our goal for the tour and we stressed the desire to endulge in authentic Jamaican food! He asked if we liked ice cream or fruit and we declined both. We were interested in the meat dishes. We stopped at a place off the main road and had a chance to enjoy a real Jamaican patty (Tastee). We selected the jerk chicken. That was the BEST patty! We passed on the water since we had our own. We were able to shop for souvenirs and taste various rums. There were 5 different tastings. That was enough for us, but I am sure you could have asked the owner for more. We were able to barter on the prices. I was quoted $8, they came down to $6 and I tipped the lady who helped us, the extra $2. Next stop was a place along side the road where I was able to enjoy the Caribbean Sea. The weather was perfect and peaceful. We rested there for about 20-30 minutes. This was great for us since the patty filled us up and we were not ready for more food. Since this was a private tour, we requested additional stops that weren’t too far out of the way so George kindly agreed to our additional stops. Our final tasting was a full meal of our choice at a roadside restaurant. I had fried chicken, bean and rice and my cousin had curry goat. The portion size was huge and able to be shared. We sat, ate and talked. I learned alot about the impact of the hurricane on tour operators and the Jamaican community. George has a very laid back personality and I am very high strung and time driven person. Remember that the Jamaican culture is laid back and people are very friendly. I learned to sit back and just take it all in. It was a great tour and as a travel agent, I would definitely recommend George to my clients. He can curate all types of tours to meet your need and he does airport transportation too! The PRIVATE tour operators cost more than shared tours, but the personal attention makes it worthwhile. We also received a small bottle of Jamaican rum as our departure gift. I would encourage everyone to try this tour or others offered by George.

Great food tour - This was a great tour with George. Had us try real Jamaican patties, sugar cane and real authentic Jamaican food. He also stopped with us to take pictures, and took us to Harmony beach. This tour was great and he was really nice and made us felt comfortable. Definitely will book with him again when I come back

Street food Rum tour Jamaica - I recently went on the Jamaica Street Food & Rum Tour and had an amazing time, thanks to our fantastic guide, George. From the very beginning, George made us feel safe and secure, walking us through vibrant local streets while sharing fascinating stories about Jamaica’s food culture and history. The food was mouthwatering—jerk chicken, patties, and fresh coconut water were highlights—and the rum tasting was a fun and educational experience. George’s knowledge of the local scene really made the tour stand out, and I felt like I got an authentic taste of the island in a relaxed, informative, and safe setting. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Jamaica!

The best local experience with hidden gems a tourist could not find. - George (bka Troy) made the tour amazing with great food & real island vibes. He made me feel at home and comfortable. I didn’t feel unsafe at any moment. Such a fun and authentic Jamaican experience. Fun vibes, Jamaican hospitality, and laughs what more can you ask for on a solo trip? Don’t miss it!

Overall Not Worth It! - The private rum tasting was just a bottle of rum in the back seat. We stopped at a few food locations but for the price we did not think it was worth it!

Not what we were hoping for.. - Even though our guide was very friendly, that’s really the only positive thing I can say about this tour. $75 is a very high price point for 2 food items, one of which is served in a fast food spot inside a strip center, and a “rum tasting” experience that’s free at a gift shop. We enjoyed the patty, but not much else that we had during our excursion. We were hoping to experience more authentic areas and foods of Jamaica, especially for the price.
