I thought I was going to... - I thought I was going to go birding in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (that is what the picture shows) but discovered you must have a reservation and purchase an entrance ticket to the refuge in advance. Per the guide it’s limited and sells out. You are only getting a birding guide, with this site. I didn’t read that anywhere on the site. Kinda of frustrating or misleading! So we went to Curi Cancha Reserve. Still saw plenty of birds and Elberto (our birding guide) was very friendly, spoke excellent English, knew the birds and calls. Got us on the birds with his scope. Definitely enjoyed the day.

Would highly recommend! - We had a fantastic experience with Three Brothers Tours in Monteverde. We booked a private birdwatching tour for three people with Elberth, and it became one of the highlights of our visit. Even though two of us aren’t especially into birding, we were completely engaged the whole time. Elberth was incredibly skilled at spotting birds we never would have seen on our own, and he was also friendly, patient, and fun to tour with. After the tour, we explored on our own and were able to spot more birds using the tips he had shared. The tour was absolutely worth the price, and we would gladly book with Three Brothers Tours again if we return to Monteverde. Highly recommended!

Great tour I can recommend to everybody! - I did a tour in the Monteverde Reserve with Alexander and had a great time. He knows a lot about the local nature and told us everything about it. He was very good at finding animals there and we even saw the Quetzal!

Great guide and day - We did the bird tour in Monteverde with Alexander. The tour was booked through our hotel. We booked all our reservations and activities through our hotel and they were able to message the tour directly (everyone knows everyone in Monteverde!) Alex was very knowledgable and we were blessed with a clear view of 2 quetzals! He is a great tour guide who explained many cool things along the way. Even though it’s a bird tour he showed us a snake and some cool plants/trees as well. The tour starts in a local area at 6:30 am and then towards Monteverde or Curi Cancha parks depending on where the quetzal will be that time of year. You purchase your ticket to enter the park once you get there (it opens at 7 am.) We had a car and followed Alex on his bike into the park. The tour ends at the coffee shop next to the Monteverde park where he named all the hummingbirds for us in the coffee shop’s hummingbird garden! Sipping coffee in the misty garden, surrounded by beautiful birds is the perfect end to the tour.

The best ever bird tour - We had the most incredible bird tour with Elbert. His knowledge, enthusiasm and energy were outstanding. He also shared his expertise of wildlife photography. An absolutely unforgettable experience. If you get the chance, take a tour with him, or his brothers. Thank you so much. Phil and Isabel

Mauritius an excellent guide and very professional - Mauricio (one of the 3 brothers) is an excellent guide and very professional, we were with the purpose of finding a Quetzal and thanks to the saw 2, as well as showing us all the flora and fauna of the place. I highly recommend it!!

Beautiful Quetzal - I was in Monteverde a couple of weeks ago, my Guide was Mauricio, one of the three brothers, I went to see the Quetzal, and ended up seeing 2, Mauricio very professional was noticed the experience, there were other guides who could not see the quetzal, I definitely recommend Mauritius

Excellent Birding Guides - I spent two days in the cloud forest with Alex and Elberth. We hiked in Monteverde, Santa Elena and Curi-Concha. This is my fourth trip to this amazing forest. I studied ornithology at the Univ. of Alaska. Birding is my passion. The brothers are very knowledgeable, everything from bugs to sloths, ferns to feathers. I would have never found over 100 species of birds without their clear sharp eyes and astute hearing. Yes, we found Bellbirds, Questels, and seven species of hummingbird. Tip: be the first ones at the gate when they open. The brothers are very professional and enthusiastic. This tour is great for all ages.

Epic tour given by Three Brothers! - Three Brothers are a fantastic tour! Very kind, informative and entertaining as well. Showed us a variety of birds and plants/trees and knew a lot of information about all of them! Thank you for the tour!

Elber is the man! - Elber was such a gem of a person and tour guide. We really appreciated his breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm. We saw almost 40 species of birds in Curi Cancha (!!!) including a Manakin, toucan, quetzal, and parrot. We could not have done it without Elber’s expertise. The time went by quickly, Elber was kind, funny, and personable. This experience was one of the biggest highlights of our trip, highly recommend booking a tour with Elber or his brothers.
