Excellent Birding Guides - I spent two days in the cloud forest with Alex and Elberth. We hiked in Monteverde, Santa Elena and Curi-Concha. This is my fourth trip to this amazing forest. I studied ornithology at the Univ. of Alaska. Birding is my passion. The brothers are very knowledgeable, everything from bugs to sloths, ferns to feathers. I would have never found over 100 species of birds without their clear sharp eyes and astute hearing. Yes, we found Bellbirds, Questels, and seven species of hummingbird. Tip: be the first ones at the gate when they open. The brothers are very professional and enthusiastic. This tour is great for all ages.

Elber is the man! - Elber was such a gem of a person and tour guide. We really appreciated his breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm. We saw almost 40 species of birds in Curi Cancha (!!!) including a Manakin, toucan, quetzal, and parrot. We could not have done it without Elber’s expertise. The time went by quickly, Elber was kind, funny, and personable. This experience was one of the biggest highlights of our trip, highly recommend booking a tour with Elber or his brothers.

Incredible guide, customized tour, sooo many birds!!! - We went on a morning tour and an afternoon tour, the first with Mauricio, the second with Alexander. In the morning, they took us to see the resplendent quetzal, lots of other birds, and two amazing snakes. In the afternoon, my husband, who has difficulty walking, wanted to go, so they took us to two places where he didn’t have to walk much, but saw huge numbers of birds. The brothers grew up in this area and know everyone, which made it lots of fun to hear about childhood memories and go to places they know well. Highly recommend these warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable guides with extremely high-quality scopes, which make a huge difference, both for seeing the birds and getting photographs. We plan to use them again when we return.

Amazing birdwatching guide - Alexander was an incredible birdwatching guide. We came to Costa Rica to birdwatch, and he helped us spot so many incredible birds, including the resplendent quetzal. It was a joy spending the day birdwatching with him. We would absolutely book Three Brothers again.

Impressive, exciting and very entertaining - Alexander guided us through the park with a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge: with the large camera he was able to focus the birds in seconds. It was an impressive and exciting experience. I only remember the hummingbird and the quetzal - I forgot the other names. We also learned a lot about nature and the special trees and plants:-)

Amazing Birding with Three Brothers - This is the best tour guide company - a family of three brothers who grew up right near Monteverde and are university trained naturalists and guides. The best part was seeing the quetzal and the white faced capuchin monkeys and so many hummingbirds. Our amazing guide Elbert was able to show us everything we wanted to see. He identified every bird by sound and visually. We loved all his stories and explanations of the history and ecology of the Monteverde Reserve. He was knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. He really wanted to gear the tour to our needs and desires. After the tour was over he happily helped us devise a plan to hike some of the other trails on our own. It was great to see how all the guides worked together to help each group see what they want to see. You can't go wrong with Three Brothers Tours!
