Wonderful food tour! - Wonderful food tour! Danny our guide was awesome, welcoming and very knowledgeable. This is a passion for him. Small number of clients makes this great as well. Diversified food, for all tastes. A great adventure in a friendly neighbhorhood!

Culture and Community - This is the perfect tour for anyone craving a local and down to earth 5-star food experience. Every stop featured culturally rich (not to mention absolutely delicious!) items paired with incredible origin stories thanks to our fabulous guide, Danny. We did this tour mid-week and just after Easter, which made for an intimate small group experience (featuring kids and adults alike).

Experience the real local flavours of Montreal - We’ve done a lot of food tours and this was probably the best experience we’ve had for several reasons. Firstly the range and quality of the food stops was exceptional - particular highlights were the charcuterie, the chocolate and smoked fish, but everything was very tasty. Secondly it was refreshing to be introduced to cuisines from different neighbourhoods rather than more regular quebecois fare. But most importantly it was the relationship Danny has with the vendors and how he weaved their stories into the experience, which was enriched as a result. He is a very engaging and witty host, clearly passionate about supporting local businesses and representing the best that Montreal has to offer. We were full but not overly so by the end of the tour. We were impressed by the way in which alternative options were provided for those with food allergies or different preferences. There was a reasonable amount of walking involved but it was all flat and manageable. Danny also left us a printed list of recommendations for food, drink, shopping and entertainment which was very helpful.

Great Food Tour! - This was a great tour! Danny was an excellent host. He knew all about the city and about the vendors we visited. The food was amazing! And we were stuffed by the end, so come hungry! This tour takes you to more "off the beaten path" places, so it's not your typical Montreal food tour. We loved it!

Best tour ever! - I usually don’t do tours, but Danny from Spade & Palacio converted me. His love for local food and people who make it is contagious. We got to hear the real life stories of families who brought their home cuisine to Montreal from many different countries, met people who travel the world to find the best coffee and chocolate, tried local cheeses, artisan chocolate, best pupusas and the most delicious ice cream I had in my life. I am still trying to digest HOW the canoli I tried in Montreal are better than what I had in Italy. If you want real (not a tourist trap) food and a chance to see the city through the eyes of the best locals, Spade & Palacio is the place to go!

Best food tour in Montréal... hands down! - Invited some friends to meet up in my favourite city and we took this awesome food journey! Danny was funny, engaging, knowledgeable and... an amazing ambassador for both Montréal and the local food scene. I've been on many food tours over the years and this one was the best. Highly recommended!!
