Participating in the trail crew to help restore the original path for hikers and historians is a cherished activity. - Moose Pass - This charming town boasts a rich history. It features one of the oldest schools and longest-running libraries on the Kenai Peninsula, a grocery store that was relocated across town on logs, and a lodge and restaurant that began as the remote Jockey Club, once adorned with black lights and a disco ball. There’s an abundance of stories, people, and places to discuss, and the excitement is palpable.
- Trail Lake - Following a general orientation and kayak instruction, approximately 2 hours will be spent on the glacially fed Trail Lake. The lake is home to Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, and other fish, and it flows into Kenai Lake, allowing salmon to make their way upstream. Bears or moose are often spotted along the shores, and the area is teeming with Bald Eagles.
