Thank you Roy! - This was a highlight of our trip to England. A must see if you’re in London. Roy was our tour guide and driver. Picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at our hotel in London. He took us to villages you would never see on your own. Very knowledge and a great safe driver. Highly recommend. Beautiful area. Thanks Viator.. you never disappoint us!

Private Tour in the Corswolds - The guide was excellent. He took us to some of the lesser-known places in the Cotswolds, and spent appropriate time at each. He was extremely personable.

Wonderful day in the Cotswolds with Mo! - We had a truly exceptional day in the Cotswolds with our guide, Mo! He made wise choices of locations, even when we insisted upon visiting Bibury (not worth the time!) and was very informative without overwhelming us. We would definitely hire him again!

Perfect Day! - It was such a wonderful day exploring the Cotswolds. The itinerary was marvelous and John Batchelor, our guide made sure we got to see anything specific we wanted. He was so knowledgeable and entertaining, with a wonderful wit. He kept us laughing and the day just flew by. We couldn't have asked for anything better. This tour was by far the highlight of our trip and would highly recommend it to all. Ask for John!

Very Good Tour - We paid extra for pick-up and drop-off at Oxford. Despite we emphasized to be dropped off at Oxford train station, our guide Roy still dropped us off at Oxford Parkaway station. We had to buy extra train tickets to go back to Oxford and almost missed our train to London. After I complained to the office they refunded us the extra train fare we paid. There was a mix up at pick up time too but the office is very responsive. Overall the tour was very good. We saw a lot of interesting and beautiful places. Cotswold is definitely worth visiting and private tour makes travelling around the area very convenient.

There was a mix-up... - There was a mix-up regarding the time of the tour start, so we began 25 minutes late. Otherwise the tour was wonderful! We got a good sense of the history, economy, and geology of the Cotswolds.

Not sure I get all the hype! - I’m not sure I get all the hype! We had spent a week in Cornwall (which I loved), and this tour was honestly a bit disappointing. I had heard that every village is stinkin’ cuter than the last, but since we went to more obscure places than the ‘cute’ tourist areas it was a lot of just walking around looking at lovely old cottages and houses for hours. We actually talked more about non-Cotswold subjects in the car (quite a bit of driving), so didn’t get a sense of true history other than everything is REALLY old. We stayed in Bibury, so the meeting location was local (but I think the cost would have included a pick up from a much further location, and it cost no less to be staying in the Cotswolds unfortunately). Overall, it was just ‘good’. Glad we got a taste of the Cotswolds for a few days, but it honestly didn’t live up to all the hype I had heard about the area. Hard to say if a bus tour going to all the touristy high streets (which would have been less expensive, but it would have been a group tour (not private) and probably filled with a lot of shopping) would have been better or worse overall. I’m glad we did the tour, just afterward felt like I preferred the natural beauty and wide open spaces of Cornwall (and its tours) over the Cotswolds.
