Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Zagora - Tinfou Dunes

Tinfou Desert Camp - Your driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle in Marrakech around 8:00 am to start the journey through the beautiful Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi ‘n Tichka pass. Along the way, there will be stops for breakfast and photo opportunities. You’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most renowned ksar (ksar = old village of kasbahs). Lunch will be in Ouarzazate or Agdez.
Continuing onward, you’ll travel through the scenic Draa Valley with its charming palm groves and kasbahs. Upon reaching the village of Tamegroute, you’ll mount camels for a ride into the sand dunes. After about an hour, you’ll arrive at camp just in time to witness the unforgettable Sahara sunset. The evening will be spent enjoying tea with the nomads, dining, and experiencing traditional Berber music around the fire. You’ll sleep comfortably in a tent.

Tinfou - M’Hamid – Caravan Camels Trek

M’Hamid Trekking - Rise early to witness the desert sunrise, followed by breakfast before departing your tranquil desert camp. Your driver will take you to M’Hamid for a day of hiking with camels. Here, you’ll enjoy another camel ride in the desert, accompanied by your guide and camel driver, with stops for tea, meals, and necessary breaks amidst the dunes. You’ll traverse small dunes to a pleasant spot where you’ll set up camp for the night, sleeping under the stars or in tents, depending on the season.

Big Erg Chegaga - The Great Sahara of Morocco

Erg Chigaga - After breakfast in the desert, the caravan sets off in the morning. You’ll enjoy another camel ride in the desert, stopping for lunch. You’ll then travel in desert-equipped 4-wheel-drives through the vast wilderness to the Erg Chegaga Dunes. Along the way, you’ll visit an oasis and possibly an authentic nomad camp. The Erg Chegaga Dunes are the largest group of Sahara dunes. Relish the golden desert sunset before a traditional dinner and a night in a Berber tent.

Erg Chegaga - Tamegroute to Gorges of The Dades:

Dades Gorges - After breakfast at the Erg Chegaga camp, you’ll depart via 4×4 to traverse the old Paris – Dakar race road to Tamegroute. Here, you’ll have lunch and visit the historic Koranic library, a renowned center for Koranic and Islamic studies. You’ll then head to the spectacular Dades Valley, stopping for tea in the Nkob village before crossing the Saghro Mountains. In the afternoon, you’ll travel through rugged limestone canyons carved by the river. After dinner at your hotel, you’ll enjoy a restful night’s sleep.

Ouarzazate - After breakfast, embark on a 1.5-hour scenic walk, then prepare for a memorable drive through the stunning Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley, known as “The Way of The 1000 Kasbahs,” offers unique photo opportunities. After exploring the Valley of Roses, enjoy lunch in a Skoura village with the hospitable Fatima’s family, then continue to Ouarzazate. You’ll travel back through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (altitude: 2260m), pausing to admire the breathtaking views. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Marrakech and be taken to your riad or hotel.
