Start with a visit to Volubilis, the ancient Roman city, where you can spend some free time exploring the 2,000-year-old ruins. - Moulay Idriss - Next, head to Moulay Idriss, the holiest city where Moulay Idriss I introduced Islam in 789 AD. Take a brief tour through its narrow streets.

Meknes - Then, return to the comfortable air-conditioned vehicle for a transfer to the imperial city of Meknes, established in the 11th century by the Almoravids as a military settlement. During the visit to Meknes, explore main attractions such as El Hedim Square, Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, El Heri es-Souani, the Medina, monumental city gates, and the intricate Spanish-Moorish architectural decorations. A visit to the Museum of Moroccan Art is essential to discover a wide array of authentic Moroccan handicrafts.
Throughout the triangular trip, feel free to take a break for lunch (at your own expense) whenever you wish.
Finally, return to Fez and be dropped off at your hotel or riad.

Relaxing day trip with driver Mu'ad - Full day tour with driver Mu'ad was excellent. The day was planned well and very relaxed and comfortable. Mu'ad is a very good driver, he knows the best spots to take photos, and he saves puppies along the way!

Amazing day trip! - I booked this day trip through my riad in Fes (Riad Farah), who kindly arranged a private tour for me. Since I had a flight from Fes airport in the evening, the timing was perfect: I left in the morning with my luggage, kept it safely in the car during the day, and at the end of the tour I was dropped off directly at the airport. Super convenient and stress-free.
My driver was Reda (nickname “Maluma” 😄), and he truly made the whole experience special. I was traveling solo and having such a friendly, sociable, and easygoing driver made a huge difference. We had great conversations throughout the journey, and it honestly felt more like traveling with a friend than just a driver.
We first stopped along the road between Fes and Volubilis to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. Then we reached Volubilis, where he gave me all the time I needed to explore the archaeological site at my own pace.
After that, we continued to Moulay Idriss, where he walked me up to the highest panoramic point overlooking the town, explaining its history and sharing interesting insights along the way.
The tour then continued to Meknes, where I had plenty of time to explore the medina and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, before being driven directly to the airport.
Overall, I really want to highlight that as a solo traveler, having such a great driver made the entire day even more enjoyable and memorable!

Enjoyed the tour with Mr yousaf zaher - An unforgettable journey to Volubilis and Meknes! The entire experience was seamless and enriching, thanks to our wonderful driver, Mr. Yousaf Zaher. He was professional, punctual, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the trip both comfortable and insightful.
From the stunning Roman ruins of Volubilis to the historic charm of Meknes, every moment was well-paced and enjoyable. Mr. Yousaf ensured a smooth ride, shared useful local insights, and made us feel safe and well taken care of throughout the journey.

A lovely trip to Volubilis - Had a lovely day trip to Volubilis and Meknes. Youssef was a great guide, providing lots of information on the way and the drive was very comfortable.

Comfy scenic ride - Friendly driver who speaks good English. Highly recommend. Comfortable car and good service. We added the driver's WhatsApp, so when we were done with one attraction, we could ask him to pick us up.

ImaD was great - It was a really good experience. The one thing I would change is having an actual tour guide at all stops as opposed to it just being you being set free to walk around by yourself . Please carry 300 dirhams if you would like Tour Guide at Volubilis because that is a one and a half hour stop and instead of walking around you could learn something. Meknes was okay, another 3hr stop to eat and walk around at your leisure

Good trip to Volubilis and Meknes - We took this tour mainly to view the Volubilis ruins. Mini bus picked us up on time and the ride to Volubilis was about 1½ hours. We were given 1 hour to go around. The ruins were ruins, not much was left standing. Just don't compare them to the Pompeii ruins where most structures were relatively intact. After that was a visit to Moulay Idriss town and mosque. Lunch was at Meknes. 2 hours given to walk around though we finished in 40 minutes, it was a small town. Overall tour was good, no regrets choosing this company. Karim the tour leader was very accommodating, he tried to fulfill every request. The driver was a careful one, not making unnecessarily unsafe overtaking moves. In total, the whole round trip took 10 hours and it was time well spent. If we had to organize the logistics ourselves, it would have taken more than that.

A Ride, Not a Guided Experience - This experience should be advertised as a transfer, not a guided tour. In Volubilis, we were handed over to an improvised local guide for an hour — for an extra fee — and it felt more like a performance than an informative visit.
In Moulay Idriss, we stopped for just 15 minutes, with little to see or do. In Meknes, we had 2.5 hours, but no guidance or explanation — we were simply left to explore on our own.
Our driver was polite but acted solely as a driver, not a guide.
If you’re looking for transport between sites, this works fine. But if you expect a real guided tour, this is definitely not the right choice.
