- Mikumi National Park - Begin the day early at 3 am (it’s recommended to depart early, or even earlier if possible, to ensure an early arrival at the park, which is approximately a 6+ hour drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park). You will be picked up from your designated meeting point and commence the journey to Mikumi National Park via Chalinze, where a coffee break is planned (if departing from Dar). Upon arrival at the park, you will check in and begin the game drives. The game drive will continue until around 13:00 hours, at which point there will be a lunch break within the park, offering the chance to observe wildlife while enjoying your meal and drinks. After lunch and a brief rest, the game drive will resume, exploring various areas of interest in search of wildlife. The game drive will proceed until approximately 15:00 hours, after which the return trip to Dar Es Salaam will commence. In Mikumi, expect to encounter animals such as lions, buffaloes, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, warthogs, elephants, hippos, over 300 bird species, and various plant species. Upon arrival in Dar Es Salaam, expected around 21:00 hours, you will be transported back to your residence, concluding the day trip.
