Drive from Morondava to Kirindy Forest

Kirindy Forest, Morondava, Madagascar - Begin the adventure with a 4WD journey to Kirindy Forest, located approximately 50 km from Morondava, passing the famous “Baobab Avenue.”

Explore this reserve to observe lemurs (white, brown, etc.), various birds, reptiles, and notably the lemur’s primary predator, the Fosa. At dusk, enjoy a night walk to spot “Mouse Lemur” and other nocturnal creatures.

Kirindy to Belo to Bekopaky

Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve - After breakfast, embark on a 4WD trip to Belo sur Tsiribihina, crossing the Tsiribihina River by ferry before reaching Belo town, where you can pause for lunch. Then, proceed to Bekopaky village by crossing the Manambolo River, the gateway to the Tsingy of Bemaraha.

Visit the Small Tsingy

Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve - Begin with a river trip on the Manambolo by local boat (pirogue) to admire stunning stalactites and stalagmites.

Viewing the Ancestors’ (VAZIMBA) tomb marks the end of the Manambolo Gorge tour.

Afterward, head directly to the Small Tsingy to start your walk.

Visit the Big Tsingy (Harness provided by the park)

Tsingy de Bemaraha Strict Nature Reserve - Early morning, drive to the Big Tsingy, located about 17 km from Bekopaka village (approximately a 1-hour off-road drive).
• Choose between 4-hour or 6-hour hikes (depending on your physical condition).
• Highlights: The unique rock formations viewed from the canopy, the dancing lemur known as Decken’s Sifaka, the common brown lemur, various bird species, and the renowned succulent plant (Pachypodium or elephant foot).
• Explore caves, the famous suspension bridge, and enjoy panoramic views from the top of the Big Tsingy after “Via Ferrata.”
