• Betancuria - In Betancuria, there is time to explore the old capital from 1404 on foot. Enjoy free time for a coffee and visit the Santa Maria Cathedral (entry fee 2€), if open.
• Pajara - Pájara is one of the oldest towns in Fuerteventura and was an early settlement from Betancuria.

It survived complete destruction during the Arab invasion of 1593 when Betancuria was entirely devastated. The town is named after the hen pheasant, as depicted in its coat of arms.

• Ermita de la Virgen de la Pena - This church is an 18th-century structure built by agreement among the island’s residents, who decided to construct a new temple in honor of their patron saint, Our Lady of the Rock.
