Innocent was amazing guide! Recommended! - Had an amazing day exploring Moshi with our guide Innocent! He was super friendly, easygoing, and made everything feel fun and relaxed. We visited Materuni Waterfalls, did a coffee tour, and ended the day at Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Innocent explained the coffee-making process step by step and shared a lot about local culture and daily life, which made the experience feel very authentic. Everything was well-paced, and he made sure everyone was comfortable the whole time. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip—highly recommend Innocent if you’re around Arusha! ⭐️

Great Tour Experience - This tour was so much fun! A group of 6 of us enjoyed the day with Innocent and Enoch- both of whom were so kind and informational! We learned so much about the Chaga culture and enjoyed the hike to the waterfall and the coffee experience. Lunch was delicious as well! Would definitely recommend! The hot springs wasn’t bad, but we didn’t feel as if it was worth the long drive to get there. It was a bit crowded and we all agreed our day would have felt complete after the waterfall and coffee experience. Overall, though, a wonderful experience with wonderful guides!

Fantastic experience with a detailed review - We had a wonderful experience on our tour. Enoch was a friendly, knowledgeable, and safe guide. He drove through the rough roads carefully and we enjoyed friendly conversations with him. The Materuni waterfalls was beautiful and not such a long hike, maybe 30-40 minutes of fairly level hiking. However, the trail was muddy and slippery, so I used the rubber rain boots Enoch provided. The waterfall sprays lots of water so you will get wet when you approach. This is not a swimming point, but you can dip in the water at the bottom. The coffee tour is a lot of fun. We enjoyed the brief presentation of raw coffee beans and how it's peeled, roasted and brewed. It's a unique way that they do it without any machines. Then, the coffee team sang songs while we crushed the beans and it was a lot of fun to drink the fresh coffee. The lunch was tasty and filling, with fresh fruit, rice, vegtables and beef. Finally, we went to the Chemka Hot Springs. This was more like a lagoon than a bath-style hot spring. The water was not cold, it was slightly warm. It's deep, with a slight current, so you need to me a swimmer to enjoy it. Someone could wade into the water and stay by the edge if they don't swim well. There are also inner tubes you can rent if you just want to relax and float around. Near the trees at the edge, small fish nibble at your feet to eat the dead skin. It doesn't hurt, but it's strangely ticklish. Overall it's a safe, natural, clean swimming experience with guides all around to help if needed. There's a bathroom and changing room nearby. I would recommend a few things if you go: bug spray, a change of clothes and towel, rain gear if rainy weather, sandals, waterproof case for your phone if you want pictures in the lagoon, goggles/snorkel if you like that (can be rented for a tip), cash for tips or buying snacks, drinks or souvenirs. Be prepared for a fun time in between very bumpy rides. Hope you enjoyed this review.

Great time at Materuni - We had a great time with our guide Enock. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and spoke great English. The waterfall was beautiful, and the coffee tour was really special- the locals sing and dance while they teach you to process the coffee beans and it’s a lot of fun!

Great way to spend a day near Arusha - We had a great day trip on the last day of our visit to Tanzania with Safari Soles. Innocent, our driver sands guide, we friendly, took care of our comfort needs and was an excellent driver. Our highlights were the coffee experience, where we learned a lot, and the hot springs, which were beautiful and an amazing way to cool off at the end of the day trip!

Worth it - Waterfall at the end of February first, as often heavy rain at noon. Coffee tour directly on the way to the waterfall. After that, sales attempts of coffee and art. Negotiate. Eat OK. Hot springs are not hot, are fed underground and not by Kilimanjaro. Still very pleasant. Diving goggles are offered for an excessive fee. Very nice area. Everything from 08:00-17:00. You tip the driver and possibly the guide on site ( 5-10 USD)
