Following breakfast, the journey begins with a drive to the Marangu Gate for climb registration. The trek starts through lush rainforest, where wildlife such as Colobus monkeys may be seen. The day concludes with an overnight stay at Mandara Hut.

The summit attempt begins around midnight, with a steep climb over scree and volcanic rock to Gilman’s Point (5,685m), continuing to Uhuru Peak, Kilimanjaro’s highest point. Witness the stunning sunrise from the Roof of Africa before descending to Kibo Hut for a brief rest, then onward to Horombo Hut.

The descent is a pleasant journey through moorlands and rainforest, passing Mandara Hut en route to Marangu Gate. Here, summit certificates are awarded before the drive back to Moshi for a celebratory evening.
