Tarangire National Park - Departing from Moshi in the morning, the journey leads to Tarangire National Park, where visitors can admire the impressive termite mounds and ancient baobab trees. The stunning landscape and diverse bird species contribute to the serene atmosphere of Tarangire National Park. The large elephant population is truly a remarkable sight. African elephants, the largest land mammals, can weigh up to seven tonnes. Tarangire’s diverse wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongooses, buffaloes, and baboons. After the game drive, guests will be taken to Fanaka Campsite, which offers comprehensive camping facilities.

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - A delicious breakfast will be served at the camp, followed by a drive to Serengeti National Park. The scenic route to the Serengeti passes near the Ngorongoro Crater, offering potential wildlife sightings. The endless golden savannah, dotted with colorful vegetation and wildlife, makes it clear why the Serengeti is one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. A stop will be made for a picnic lunch on a kopje (a small hill in a generally flat area). The journey continues into the Serengeti for a relaxed game drive. Overnight accommodation will be at Serengeti Camp, with comprehensive camping facilities available.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - The day begins in central Serengeti with lunch and game viewing. The Serengeti’s wildlife is incredibly diverse, with frequent sightings of lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelopes. Factors such as herd migration and season affect wildlife sightings. Various bird species include some migrants from Eurasia. The drive leads to a campsite near the crater rim, where a delightful dinner will be served. Overnight stay will be at Simba Camp, offering comprehensive camping facilities.

Ngorongoro Crater to Moshi

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Departure for the Ngorongoro Crater is early in the morning, an ideal time for wildlife spotting. A game drive with a picnic lunch inside the crater is planned. Most animals reside within the crater due to its elevated structure, with a high chance of seeing all members of ‘The Big 5’. This group includes some of Africa’s most formidable animals – the fierce lion, the massive elephant, the swift leopard, the resilient rhino, and the charging buffalo. The crater was formed millions of years ago by a volcanic eruption. Expect to see zebras, hippos, wildebeest, and laughing hyenas. Graceful flamingos can be found along the Soda Lake, while vultures circle the sky searching for carcasses. Storks and geese are common water birds in the crater. The game drive concludes shortly after lunch, and the driver will transport guests to Moshi, with airport transportation available upon request.
