Amina was a fantastic host! - Amina was a great instructor! I have taken many cooking classes around the world and she was among the best. Very thorough and lets you try your hand at every step. We very much enjoyed our evening with her and highly recommend to others.

One of the best ways to get experience Mostar! - A wonderful experience! My family was fortunate enough to take this cooking class during our brief stay in Mostar, and was a hit! Amina was an amazing host and teacher, and very patient as well. The dishes were delicious, my children were so excited to gobble them up! The restaurant where the class is held provides wonderful ambience as well. A very authentic experience for sure! On a more somber note, I really appreciated Amina’s candidness when asked questions about the war, providing real life experience and stories about the utter tragedy that the beautiful county of Bosnia had to endure. If you have any curiosity of Bosnian food, culture or history, you must take this cooking class!

Bosnian cooking - Thank you Amina for a great cooking class of Bosnian traditional food. Our original guide got ill at the last minute but the tour guides worked together to give us a memorable experience. We made stuffed vegetables and a butternut squash pie that was so delicious. It was really fun to learn how to roll out the dough using a long, thin rolling pin traditional for Bosnian cooking. We all had a wonderful time!

The beautiful taste of Herzegovina - We are a group of 4 friends, that wanted to do something different during our stay in Mostar. So we booked this cooking class, and it did not disappoint! Amina introduced us to the local liquor «Rakija» and then showed us how to make a proper local 3-course meal. She was very skillful and while we cooked she also learned us about Bosnian history, culture and household. She had many interesting stories and tales, so this was really more than just a cooking class. The hardest part was rolling out the dough to make a proper Burek. Which includes a lot of slapping and spinning, making it good material for a video to send home to friends and family After making the food we ate it, and it was quite alot of food, together with a locally produced wine. It was an authentic lunch experience, and the food really tastes better when you make it yourself. Amina was very helpful and gave us many tips on other activities we should do while in Mostar, and how to get there by bus and taxi Thank you for the hospitality Amina, we had a great time. This acitivity is really a MUST DO while in Mostar!

Highly recommend! - My husband and I had an amazing morning cooking with Amina, who was so lovely, kind, and patient with us and our bad pastry rolling skills! It didn't matter that we were the only ones who had booked the class that day, Amina was wonderful company and made us feel very comfortable. We had so much fun and cooked some incredibly delicious food which we ate the leftovers of for dinner and lunch the next day! Huge thanks to Amina and also the lady in the kitchen at the back (I'm sorry I didn't learn her name), this was the highlight of our time in Mostar, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Perfect activity for foodies in Mostar - Together with my friend, we attended at the cooking class. From the start till the end everything was well organized. If you are interested in to learn more about local dishes and cooking while having fun, I highly recommend this activity! We did learn how to make main courses, dessert, dough and even have learned about Bosnian coffee 😊 When you go there, don’t worry about eating before. You will get a lot of delicious food to taste. The team, who was organizing it, was very friendly and they did speak good English. Definitely a good value for money 👌

Food House Bosses!!! - Amina at The Food House, was a terrific teacher. She was patient, attentive & easy-going. All the traditional food we made (stuffed peppers and kale leaves, stuffed pastry spiral and sweet lemon-vanilla cookies for dessert) turned-out fantastic. I wish we could’ve uploaded pictures, but the Viator site would not upload them at the time of this review- 😤 Nonetheless, this class (& the food) was worth every penny we paid.

We loved it! - We had such a wonderful time learning with Amina! We did the morning session, arriving a bit early we were given coffee and a board of yummy nibbles that we enjoyed out the front (please see photo with cute cat who joined us!). The class was such a great experience, our host Amina was super lovely and did a great job taking us through each step of the recipes. The pace was great, very relaxed, and we were able to try some beautiful drinks throughout - the elderberry was my fave! Oh, and the food prepared was deee-lish!! I would very much recommend this experience to anyone visiting Mostar, and suggest that you go with an empty stomach!

Amazing cooking experience with my brother who is vegetarian! - Me and my brother, who is vegetarian, wanted to learn how to prepare some of the most beloved Bosnian dishes and thought this experience would fit our desires. It went beyond expected! We definitely had a blast during the 4 hours we spent with Amina, who was the organizer, translater and who run us through the whole process, and Tajma and Adisa, the chefs who taught us how to prepare japrak, dolma, krompirusa and hurmasice. We were greeted by Amina in the restaurant Food House Mostar with a delicious breakfast of bread, cheeses, hummus, some meat and olives and two shots of Rakija! just the Bosnian way! Later we went inside the restaurant to start preparing and learning about the food. Since my brother is vegetarian some of the dishes needed to be adapted since the Bosnian cuisine consists mainly of meat, but there weren´t any problems with that and the way of preparation is the same one. The chefs were really talented and taught us all the process and different tips. Tajma spoke some english but Adisa didn´t, nonetheless that wasn´t a problem because Amina would translate and make sure we understood the whole process. The peak of the cooking class I´d say was when we learnt to prepare the dough for the krompirusa (a potato burek), we use a really long rolling pin to flatten it and we had to hit it to the table! Amina is really professional and close, sharing experiences and telling memories from her childhood related to food and the country. She is very kind and joyful! We later ate all we prepared and took home with us the leftover! It was a looot of food. Also you get unlimited local wine what is always a plus! At the end Amina was kind enough to gift us with a couple of aprons to take home with a logo she herself made. We are really happy we ended up taking this cooking class and we will make sure to prepare some of the things we learnt there! Highly recomended!!
