• ROXANICH Winery and Design Hotel - The guide will meet participants at the Roxanich Hotel in Motovun. After delivering a safety briefing, trip overview, and e-bike usage instructions, the group will set off with the guide towards the town of Oprtalj. The ride includes ascending the largest hill on the route, but with the help of e-bikes, it will be manageable. A break will be taken at the summit to enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley below.

The journey continues through the countryside, passing small farms, fields, and forests until reaching the town of Groznjan. Here, the bikes will be parked for a 30-minute to one-hour break. The guide will provide a tour of the quaint town and share its history. Participants will have free time to enjoy a snack, pizza, or a coffee or drink independently.

Following the break, the e-bike route will proceed through the most picturesque parts of the ride. The group will cycle on the Parenzana, a historic railroad bed now popular with cyclists and hikers. Riders will pedal through a series of tunnels and over stone bridges, taking in the stunning views of Istria’s rolling green hills stretching into the distance. The loop route will return to the starting point just below Motovun.

This adventure will guide you through Istria’s charming medieval hilltop villages, lush vineyards, serene olive groves, picturesque meadows, and dense forests. A highlight of the journey is a stop in Groznjan, famously known as the town of artists. Enjoy the historic stone houses and archways as you wander through its quaint cobbled streets.

Additionally, the tour includes a ride along a section of the Parenzana, a former railway line now dedicated to cyclists and hikers. Covering approximately 50km, the route offers a combination of lightly trafficked paved roads and scenic gravel bike trails.
