Incredible Rappelling Experience with Arizona Climbing Guides! - My rappelling excursion with Arizona Climbing Guides was phenomenal from start to finish! My guide was not only highly skilled and professional but also incredibly friendly, supportive, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. He made sure I felt completely safe and confident every step of the way, which was especially reassuring as a first-timer.
Rappelling down the stunning cliffs of Mt. Lemmon in Tucson was nothing short of breathtaking. The scenery, with its majestic cliffs and lush greenery, is worth the trip, but combined with the adrenaline rush of descending the rock face, it makes for an unforgettable adventure. The instructions were clear, easy to follow, and perfectly paced for beginners like me.
If you’re visiting Tucson, Arizona, and looking for a unique outdoor adventure — whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just curious to try something new — I can’t recommend this experience enough. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Appealing rappelling not repelling. - AWESOME! DO THIS!!! This is unique, fun, and safe! We booked online for 8am when it was coolest, but somehow when our online waivers arrived they said 10:30, but our hosts were able to still meet us at 8am. JC met us at Windy Point Vista, so you get to travel the Mt. Lemmon Scenic Byway to the meeting location, an added bonus. Windy Point has parking and rudimentary toilets. It's a short walk to the first rock. JC calmly and confidently explained what was happening, and he tests all the equipment personally on site. Rappellers have harnesses, helmets, and two lines for added safety. Everything is fully explained and all questions are satisfactorily answered before you go over the rock face. You're doing this yourself, and have complete control, but JC was watching us and had our back in case of a mishap (there were none). This activity is easy and confidence inspiring. Once you're at the bottom (65 feet for the first portion) you detach yourself and hike back up and go again. We rappelled off of three different cliffs. It was challenging and fun!. Water and health food store snacks are provided. The hike back up is more arduous than rappelling down. Great views. Wear sturdy footwear. I wore shorts, and I did scrape my calf, but not during the rappelling, it was of my own doing. I also knocked my head on a rock, but the helmet prevented injury, and again, it was of my own doing and I'm including this so that readers will take precautions. Pay attention to your surroundings. This truly is a safe activity. Our guide took pictures of us and air dropped them after. You get a lot for the price and we ran over time. We rappelled from three different faces, and I rappelled five times. 1-3 times is suggested, but if you're comfortable and move along you can fit more rappells in. Consider your fitness level. Hiking out is more strenuous than the rappelling. This is a very worthwhile, safe, fun, confidence building activity and I would do it again.

This Climbing Company Rocks! - I was traveling for spring break with my 8 year old son and 11 year old daughter and we were looking for an adventure and a different way to experience the desert. After doing some research, I found the Arizona Climbing Guides website. I called them prior to booking to ask which tour would be best with my kids and the owner was so helpful. Once we got there, we had a great time. We felt safe, challenged and had so much fun.

Best Experience of our entire trip to Arizona!! - The best guides in the Phoenix/Tuscon area, by far!
My 9 yr old and I were in town and she mentioned she wanted to try climbing. Neither of us have EVER climbed anything besides an indoor place once and this far exceeded our expectations. They talked us through which place to go based on our skill level (none) and made me feel super comfortable booking it.
Our guide was Jayci and he was so calm/helpful/knowledgable on where to take us and even just keeping us calm as we were climbing. Jayci made the experience so much more memorable. There were times when both of us were thinking "ok maybe I just quit" and he calmly explained pointers from the bottom and neither of us even ended up "falling" despite being certain we would, haha.
Great company and I couldn't recommend them enough! Just book it!!

Best climbing experience with the best company - I had the most amazing experience with Arizona Climbing Guides! They were incredibly responsive and professional. I travelled to Tucson to climb and rappel. ACG picked me up from my hotel and dropped me back off safely at the end of the day. As a solo female traveler going up into the mountains , I felt extremely safe and comfortable throughout my experience. The rappelling was amazing but the big finale was climbing Hitchcock Pinocle. I am leaving this experience so inspired and ready for my next big adventure which will more than likely be ice climbing this winter with Arizona Climbing Guides. I highly recommend to solo females, families, first time or novice climbers.
