Day stop while on the South American cruise - Took the hop on hop off bus from the pier and got off the stop for yorke bay.it’s about 20 minutes walk to the bay where the penguins are.so much cheaper than the cruise ship are charging for trips to see penguins

Worth it, definitely - Beautiful scenery and various animals can spot such as King Penguin, Gentoo Penguins, Sea Lions, dolphins on beautiful white beaches and dunes. Excellent excursion. Alex Belgium

Gentoo Penguins plus - We were fortunate as the Captain made arrangements for us to come in a day early so we were the only ship. We were supposed to have come in the day after along with two other ships which would have overwhelmed the small port- and the weather the next day prevented those ships from making a port call there. We found the vendor right away but had a bit of a delay as we had to wait for another ten people. Once we got underway we went to Bertha Beach and saw a number of Gentoo Penguins. We then went to Gypsy Cove for scenic views and then had a short tour of Stanley. Our guide, Lincoln, was friendly, informed and responsive. Unfortunately, there are no Emporer Penguins on this tour. It was very cold and windy so dress appropriately.
